| Vidahr01-09-07, 07:56 PM | So my dwarf with dwarven waraxe build is hoping for levels in pious templar. Any ideas on which and where to find such deities? |
| Arvagor01-09-07, 08:01 PM | Yes, download the LG Deities document: http://www.wizards.com/rpga/downloads/LG_Deities.zip The only deity with dwarven waraxe as their favored weapon is Gendwar Angrim (hero-god of fatalism and obsession) -- be prepared for being poor... ;) |
| RedKnightofKet01-09-07, 08:01 PM | What he said. Arvagor beat me to the punch. :p |
| Vidahr01-09-07, 08:02 PM | thanks, both of you :) |
| _m_01-09-07, 08:51 PM | not that it really matters anyway, we're all doomed after all. |
| Puggle Halfwine01-09-07, 09:00 PM | Heh. A dwarven warrior I never got off the ground was a worshipper of him, not because of the good domains (he didn't have any divine spellcasting ability) but just because of the attitude. The whole idea behind him was that he'd blissfully ignore conversation or anything like it, until combat showed up (or he thought it was combat, anyway!) and he'd give his catchphrase... "What? Kobolds? Oh great. Death 'o a hundred spear wounds, and nobody'll even know what's happened to us... we're doomed." "What? Orcs? Oh great. Axes enough ta' chop down a whole durn *forest* wielded by some of the strongest arms around... we're doomed." "What? Wizards? Oh great. Spells to turn ya inside out and burn yer alive, change yer into unnatural abominations 'n screw with your head in equal measure... we're doomed." ... etc... |

| budleiser01-10-07, 12:31 PM | If only I could find a Deity with favored weapon Lance. Arvoreen should have it, but doesn't. |
| Fleetfang01-10-07, 02:27 PM | If there were any deity with a Lance, I have a feeling that paladins of any other deity would quickly go extinct. I was disappointed to find none in the LGCS, but then, it's probably for the best. |
| clannagh01-10-07, 05:28 PM | My Carbuncle is a Badlands Gendwar Cleric. (WAR and DESTRUCTION) He is very sincere about telling the party about the impending doom. Whatever they are attempting to do "no good will come of it". Of course being a bright sands character he is seriously nobbled with useless feats like sandskimmer so he probably is doomed :) He is also very committed to teh Gendwar attitude about treasure often telling the party off for their evil ways and offering on behalf of the parties to do job's for no pay as treasure is only bad for them. As far as the money restriction .. he has already put a 50 gp deposit on the +1 star metal Vorpal Great Falchion he now as access to and will be dutifully putting 50 gp each week until he pays off the 72000 gp. .. as for the lances .. you really need a lance AND a war domain which pushes it a bit |
| Puggle Halfwine01-10-07, 06:44 PM | If only I could find a Deity with favored weapon Lance. Arvoreen should have it, but doesn't. My Arvoreen worshipping halfling outrider-type with Spirited Charge and (very soon) Shock Trooper would like that a lot. Unfortunately, a diety whose holy symbol is two crossed swords is probably not going to get lances as well... |
| Crosby01-12-07, 08:30 PM | My primary LG character is a Dwarven Waraxe fighter/paladin/Pious Templar of good 'ole Gendar. He's not much of a fighter, but he stands in the way of things and gets missed a lot. Unfortunately, due to an evil DM, he's now in serious need of a Atonement. Anybody know of a cleric of GA who can cast one?? Anyone... Hello?? :D |

I'm only 2nd level atm. Sorry. |

Sorry. and my gendwar cleric is wisdom 10 ... he just casts orisons and smites mightly with the destruction domain .. unless you find a wand of atonement :) but yes .. its been fixed and is now a NPC permitted spell |
