DMG-Alter Self?? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-23-06, 03:20 AM Ok, I was perusing the DMG looking for scrolls for a character I have. And for some reason, in the tables in the DMG, alter self isnt listed at all. I looked in the errata, and still no mention of this. So can anyone tell me what is up? Is there no way to buy a scroll of alter self sans specific access?

12-23-06, 05:17 AM Instead of Alter Self, Disguise Self appears in the 2nd level list. While this is probably a mistake, it has not been corrected, so there is no way of buying Alter Self scrolls without access.

As a wizard one could take it at level up or copy it from someone else and then scribe it.

12-23-06, 05:39 AM Well, thats fine and dandy for a wizard, but this particular character is one of those spontaneous types that doesnt have a spellbook. And spells known is a limited commodity, but unless someone fixes the mistake, i guess i have to use a slot on it. It is worth it though..
