Dread Commando? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-24-06, 08:22 AM Hello everyone. I'm kinda new to Living Greyhawk, and I was wondering has anyone here seen access to the Dread commando prestige class? I have a ranger and REALLY want to take a couple of levels of commando but the few people that I have talked too about it, including my DM, haven't seen access to it. If you have any info it will be great. Also woundering about access to the coordinated shoot feat. Both the feat and the class are in Heros of Battle, if that helps at all.

04-24-06, 08:37 AM your best chance is going to be looking towards your meta-orgs for help or to contact your local triad for access is it resrticted access or limited?

04-24-06, 10:12 AM I have no way of knowing for sure but I don't believe Dread Commando access is currently available. Ask your triad is a special mission is possible.

i actually HAVE got access to "dread command" on an AR, but with a non-combat orientated cleric *sigh*.

yea a very cool class, but don't expect it to pop every other module. it is just TO good. so try to persuade your triad for a special module, or visit regions that are currently at war.

04-26-06, 03:04 PM The only access I've seen to it so far has been on a "gain access to any one limited prestige class" favor. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the character who I want to have the class...or a character who needs access to any class, for that matter.

yea, that's the story of lg play style :)

you need several characters to be able to participate on different tables. the character that sees access to a looked-after-goody is not automatically the one who needs it. or the goody only comes at a higher apl than you played.

you can't play every module with one character (at least when you have at least two regions to play) or some modules/story arcs demand different characters.

ps: the module i got access to "dread commando" was clearly stating "military career opportunity" in the boilerplate text, so ask authors/triads/circle to "label" modules apropriate.

pps: the worst case of late boilerplate is "retribution" :) it is just telling what you did before the adventure, without giving any info on the actual module.

04-27-06, 07:56 PM I believe that honor goes to Like a Leech a year 6 Keoland mod that has blurb that reads "Hang on as if you belong" thats, it nothing else.
