My apologies for what are likely noob questions, but I am not a frequenter of these forums due to a dislike of the style. Nonetheless, here goes:

#1 - what is the link for ordering the expanded premiers from the DNDXP? Our local con has run these for the past two years, but I can't seem to find the link I need, and the search function on the Wizards site isn't much help.

#2 - Is there any way to search these forums without reading entire threads personally? I can't seem to find a search function on the forums here, but I could just be blind.

Thanks,
Britt

1) Expanded premieres are applied for, not ordered. WotC puts out an invitation for cons to apply for the privilege of running the expanded premiere, the con applies, and WotC awards one con per region the right to run them. I'm not sure how they are reported after that.

2) I think searching is disabled in the forums :/

On 2, google crawls and indexes these boards, so putting <site:boards1.wizards.com> in a google search and then your search term afterwards can get somewhere towards a search - but I think that older posts are purged not continually stored, and sometimes it returns the archive-style page rather than the fully threaded one.

On 1, I seem to recall Chris Tulach mentioning that discussions about the extended premiere program were taking place at the moment and announcements should be made soon. I believe that the application process is usually opened before now, but hopefully the delay won't be too severe!

That was essentially what I was looking for. Can you direct me to the link where applications to host expanded premiers is located? Has that window opened or closed already?

According to a post from Ian RIchards on another list, they are discussing whether to continue the extended premier program. If they decide to continue it (personally I think it hurts the RPGA by drying up module access for a couple of months), they would have to ask for applications.

I have mixed feelings about this ... it seems from the way Xen'Ex worked after GenCon that there wasn't really an extended premiere for its modules, so it's only LG which is affected, and there are plenty of LG mods which aren't premiered at one of the big shows so it doesn't matter all that much. The real problem is LG Core Specials (and in this instance the MoH finale) which I think it's silly to only run at one show. One per region is sensible for a special event, and gives the convention something to encourage people to attend.

However with what was the Origins special there's now instead a three-month 'convention only' policy, with a revised version being released for home-play later. This could be adopted for the other specials - perhaps all conventions could run the actual special with real rewards, or perhaps each metaregion's circle member could approve one or two sites to run the module.

Without expanded Premieres those of us in Australia (or any non-Americans) can't play Core Specials without an international airline ticket.
