| 8w_Gremlin09-17-05, 01:59 PM | Hi, I hope someone can answers these questions for me. 1) If I take the feat (Extra spell) can I, as a cleric, pick any spell from any list as long as it fits in with the feat, including spells on the wizard/sorcerer list, as its kind of ambiguous. 2) Does a metamagic'ed domain spell, fit in a higher domain slot. So if I maximised (+3 levels) a Healing domains 'cure light wounds' would it be in my 4th level Domain slot? Thanks! |
| redgamer09-17-05, 02:08 PM | 1) I don't believe a cleric (or any divine class but favored soul) can benefit from that feat in LG. This is because the feat was meant to let you take a spell with approval from the DM or let a spontaneous caster expand his spells know list. Without DM approval I don't believe you can learn a spell with the feat that you couldn't already learn anyways. In LG the DM is the Circle and they don't make individual exceptions. 2)Thats exactly right. |
| Winnipegger09-17-05, 04:14 PM | Hello, The Extra Spell feat, although currently worded as ambiguous, was ruled upon by the Circle: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Living_Greyhawk/message/73531 *** Hey folks, Just so you are aware, the feat Extra Spell cannot enable a caster to learn a spell not normally on their spell list. Consider this official for the Living Greyhawk campaign, and keep this in mind when converting your characters. -- Chris Tulach LIVING GREYHAWK Circle Iuz's Border States *** Furthermore, a metamagic'ed domain spell may be used in a domain slot, in much the same way higher level domain slots may be filled by lower level spells (i.e. a person with the strength domain may have Enlarge in his first and second level domain slots). Hope that helps, --- Chris T Hi, I hope someone can answers these questions for me.
