| Gwumph09-07-06, 05:48 AM | My group is just starting the bright sands campaign. If i take a Asherati fighter at first Level and I take the feats Eagles fury and two-weapon fighting. Hows does that work?? I use hero forge and from that it seems if i take a full attack, I get 4 attacks at a -2 is this correct?? because thats awesome!! |
| RedKnightofKet09-07-06, 07:28 PM | The Eagle's Claw (the exotic weapon with which you can make said extra attack) is an exotic weapon. So, you would get three attacks you would be doing it at a -8 (-2 for TWF, -2 for Eagle's Fury, and -4 for non-prof with the Claw). I would suggest if you want that combat style, add TWF at second level - take Exotic WP and Eagle's Fury - and don't forget to buy yourself a Claw.... |

| Gwumph09-08-06, 02:04 AM | ok lets assume i am asherati, so they are martial weapon for me and i have 2 eagle claws if i take TWF that gives me an primary and off hand att at -2 the feat eagle fury says when weilding an eagle claw you get an extra attack with that claw for a -2 the way that reads to me, is both claws to an extra attack, which means on a full attack you would make 4 seperate attacks. the questions is are the first 2 attacks -2 (TWF) and the second 2 attacks -4 (eagle fury) or are all 4 attacks -4 |

I would think that if you desired 4 primary attacks that you would be at -2 (TWF) -2 (extra attack with primary eagle claw) -2 (extra attack with offhand eagle claw) for a net -6 to all your attacks. Now if you do enough damage per attack this can be your version of power attack. Consider rogue levels, expertiese, staggering strike and ITWF. -James |

| Japangirl09-08-06, 01:34 PM | Staggering Strike is in Complete Adventurer. |
| JamesMaissen09-13-06, 02:45 PM | hey james inwhich book can i find staggering strike?? also expertise i assume you mean combat expertise, how does that help me hit better or do more damage??? As mentioned staggering strike is in complete adventurer. It is a rogue based feat in that it requires sneak attack dice to take. When I see TWF I think extra damage per hit and rogues top that list via sneak attack. I did indeed mean combat expertiese.. normally a rogue will need to tumble into place before enjoying flanking and the like. The round that you do so you will only get one attack which is a bit of a gamble as opposed to all your attacks via TWF the following round. Thus for that first single attack in the round that you tumbled fight defensively and expertiese for full (ie 5) and just try to aid your flanking buddy (either defense or attack your call). At this point if the monster unloads on you he will likely be missing. On the following round make 5+ or so sneak attacks upon him requiring fort saves for each one lest he become staggered. You now should own him. Otherwise you could tumble into position, make one attack and do enough for him to decide to get rid of you.. It's not a works for every occasion tactic, but it's a good default one to have. It also gives you something to do against those you cannot sneak attack. Constructs are normally very easily corked and a rogue tanking a construct while others attack it at range has done his job as much as any other combat that he's sneak attacking everything in sight. -James |
