Does anyone here have some advice for a herald level DM working on starting a LG campaign (1 game / month) in Furyondy (Michigan)?

I've looked about, and www.furyondy.com is down.

Every single Furyondy event description in the searchable database here says "this is a placeholder, you need to go elsewhere to get descriptions of furyondy events"

The furyondy-discussion yahoo group seems (for the last week at least) to be a sounding board for national events... sorry, not planning on attending the shindig down in New Mexico.

With the spaced out schedule I could just run Core events and not run out for a while, but I was hoping to find a story arc or two to run from start to finish, and the core events are spaced out quite a bit, and 3-4 of them have the first 1-2 parts retired already.

I'm running out of ideas, can someone help me out here?

According to the LGCS v.4.2 the Furyondy Point of contact is Brian J. Benoit, e-mail address furypoc@wmis.net .

Advice: Order a mod and then run it-but I bet you knew that. What exactly do you want to find on the web page? Someone here probably knows the answer. The yahoo group you went to is not for national events, but sometimes events from far away advertize on other region's yahoo groups. There is no information on any yahoo group or webpage except rpga.com that you absolutely most have before running a mod and thats only because that the webpage you order the mod from. If you want background and history a region's yahoo group is usually the best place to ask.

Michelle Sharp posted blurbs for Furyondy modules yesterday on the Yahoo group.

As I keep telling people, the LG regional Yahoo groups are generally the best place for information on LG and other RPGA activities in an area.

Ed is right about Yahoo! Groups.

However, the Furyondy site should be up in a few weeks.

There are LOCAL Michigan events. Pandemonium Mayhem convention is next weekend in Garden City near Detroit. see www.warhorn.net for the schedule.

CARP runs monthly RPGA game days in Lansing. Their webpage is

www.carp-mi.net

Kzoo games runs monthly game days in Kalamzoo and runs events at Marmalade Dog at Western Michigan Univ. in the spring.

see:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/K-ZooGames

Michelle Sharp and her husband Lee run monthly game days in the UP at Green Dragon comics.
Her e-mail is: furyondyplots (@) yahoo.com

Edit: You'll get a message after clicking the links that you're leaving the WOTC website but if you type in the URLS in your brower and you'll get a direct link to the pages.

Thanks for the replies, yes I've had some good responses from the Yahoo group.

As for what I was looking for, the list that was posted shortly after my request looks to be exactly what I need.

Thanks again for the help.

I'm curious. Where in Michigan are you? I don't think you ever mentioned that little bit. :) I've been trying to get some interest going near where I live, but it's tough getting people interested in LG.

Note to add:
At least at 1 in the morning today, the new www.furyondy.com is up. Some stuff still isn't up, but important information (like Triad e-mail addresses) is provided.
