| budleiser12-28-06, 09:23 AM | To me! I turn 24. Does anyone celebrate their characters birthday? Do you base that on the first time you played them or make one up? |
| Reylance12-28-06, 10:14 AM | I just assign each character's birthday to be the day of the year I first play the character, then I add a year of age at each anniversary. |
| Britt12-28-06, 10:27 AM | I'm assuming you mean your real birthday, not your character's. Happy bday. |
| budleiser12-28-06, 10:34 AM | Yes I myself Bud Leiser, not my character Klein Swyftsturm, am celebrating my day of birth. |
| Randall Montgomery12-28-06, 01:10 PM | I actually gave my character Devlin the same (Greyhawk equivilant) birthday as myself. To figure out when he ages, I find out what week of the year my birthday is on, they age Devlin when he's spent that many TUs. He started out a wet-behind the ears 17-year old Wizard, and now he's a powerful, fate-spinning, 19-year old Wizard. Amazing the difference two years makes! :D |
| budleiser12-28-06, 02:01 PM | ohhh, I hadn't thought of basing it on TU's. So everytime he spends his 52nd TU he is a year older. |
| NiTessine12-28-06, 09:04 PM | For my secondary and tertiary characters, I don't. However, every year, at Ropecon, I make it a point to add one to my main character's, Xaylen Ambedor's age. He was my first LG character, started at Ropecon 2004. Presently, he is 24 years in age, and a wizard 6/divine oracle 3. He's been putting on weight, lately, and no longer fits in my character binder. :( |
| Morgen12-29-06, 12:38 AM | Hapy Birthday Bud. |
| paigeoliver12-29-06, 01:59 AM | I always add one year to my character's ages at the beginning of the year. I also have a little orphan girl from a year 5 module that one of my characters drags around. She was 10 in year 5, and now she will be turning 12 at the start of year 7. If the character with her stays around long enough she might actually age enough to where she isn't such a "little orphan girl" anymore. Year 7 is also the point where I change the miniature used for her from a little girl miniature to a young teen miniature (I order special miniatures for every character, cohort, donkey, banner man, dog, horse, animal companion, and anything else I might put on the board). Julie Underhill the Halfling turns 42. Gerald Vincent the human turns 57. Alikto Moveitmoveit-Bordeaux (recently married) the half-orc, former elf, former human, turns 17, although she looks mid 20s because of her reincarnated body. I can't remember how old my other characters are. A lot of people forget to age their characters, plenty of times I have played with people and seen these 17 and 18 year old characters that they have been playing since year 1 or 2. |
| kjenks01-01-07, 09:22 AM | It's time for all of my LG characters to advance one year. Happy birthday, everyone! |
