I just ran out of this year's TUs on my main character. Being only April 1st I am wondering what the average player has left for TUs on your main character.

Well I randomize my characters unless I need to play a higher level in a mod so it takes me a long time to get rid of my TU's. I also haven't been going to a lot of conventions.

Well for me I really don't have a main character now. I have my first LG character that is level 9 with 52 TU's and my second LG(Brightsands) is now level 10 with 32 TU's. My third character is 8th(RHoD) right now but will finish at 10th with only 4TU's. Beigning I moved(real life) late last year to a new region and the local players highest characters are in the RHoD with my third I had need to start a fourth and fifth. The fourth is in the mid 30's in TU's and my fifth is in the mid 40's in TU's. Oh and I shouldn't forget my first level 1, sixth who is on stand-by waiting on Greyhawk City mods to start.

It sounds like you need some diversification to me... :P

Let's see, my main has 17 TUs left, but that's because she spent about 26 TUs on Meta-Orgs (but she's the highest ranking PC in the County of Urnst Army!). My next character has about 45 left, then 50, then the rest haven't played yet. Mind you, I have one 12th, two 4th, a 2nd, and two 1st level characters (one of which has yet to play since year 1).

My Main is now 11th but played RHoD so is now into CY598 TU's. I have a 10th who has 20 left and a 7th with 22 left. I also have two 2nd levels which will get some play shortly and they have 52 and 48 left. I have a new first level with 50 left.

My main has 16ish TUs left, she's 15 and spent a few on metaorgs and a few on retraining. My secondary is RHoD, so all out. My tertiary is down to 18, she's level 4. I have a 2 and a 1 who haven't been played at all yet this year also.

My main had 1 TU left at the start of the year...but not from use, but from allocation.

6 TU's from DDXP
2 TU's from Dominion over Bright Sands
43 TU's from Red Hand of Doom.

Leaving me 1 TU left.

At least, I think that's how my math works.

I have 1 with 40 TU's left

I have 2 with 38 TU's (but one is slotted to play RHOD)

I have 1 with 52 TU's (he will play some intros at an upcoming con)

I will have a Greyhawk Ruins character also

52 TU. The first big Veluna con of the year is in two weeks, so the only PC I've played so far is my Bright Sands one. Meta-org rules just came out, so most of my PCs will spend a few TU on upkeep.

I've already taken one PC to 18th level, so I'm not into racing to retirement the way I was six years ago.

Too quickly... :weep:

My L15 cleric has 44 TUs left... but her constraint isn't TUs any more, it's "modules before retirement". XP-wise she's at about 112k, and L16 happens at 120k... so I'm being careful about what modules she plays, because there are some series I want to finish with her before she becomes an NPC.

My L12 sorcerer has 35 TUs left on her last AR, but that's very misleading, because her TU allocation for the rest of the year looks like:

-Receive AR of recent online game = 4 TU
-Receive playtest AR = 4 TU
-Finish retraining feat-tree upon attaining L13 = 4 TU
-Finish Bright Sands series
- Tears for the Bright Sands = 3 TU
- Dominion over Bright Sands = 5 TU
-Hellspike Prison = 8 TU
-Play special mission = 2 TU

So after playing four more games (bringing her games this year up to a grand total of nine), she'll have 5 TUs left :( I'm slightly annoyed about only getting to play my favorite PC in ~12 games this year, although it's my own fault (retraining was too tempting... and moving to the opposite side of the world when her meta-org requires her to keep Perrenland home region didn't help).

My L8 dervish has done the first four parts of RHOD and has 23 TUs left. After finishing the last part, he'll have 7 TUs left.

My L4 sorcerer has 32 TUs left, and due to the issues with ALL my other PCs, will probably turn into my de-facto primary character this year (in the sense of "gets played most often").

After her, I'm down to my stock of L1s... although I haven't played any intros from my new region yet, so I can probably get some of them up to L2 fairly quickly.

It varies from year to year, mostly based on which character(s) are in the right APL bands for us to form viable home game tables and who's playing what story arcs. So far this year,

Primary character (bard 11/paladin 2 with craft wondrous items) - 37 TU remaining, has played 2 metaregional scenarios, has no major story arcs to play, planning to play Hellspike Prison (8 TUs), Iuz metaregionals, and minimum APL 10 cores, will use up other TUs upgrading magic items.

Secondary character (scout 5/swashbuckler 3/dervish 2) - 18 TU remaining, has played 8 cores (including the last 5 parts of the Bright Sands series), planning to play Fields of Ruin (7 TUs) and the two Year 6 parts of the Legacy of Life series (6 TU), will use up 4 TU retraining at 11th level.

Tertiary character (cleric 2, will get craft wondrous items at 3rd level) - 46 TU remaining, started this year, has played 3 cores, planning to play all minimum APL 2 cores, will use up other TUs crafting magic items.

In previous years, I had been exhausting my TUs with my primary character by August/September and with my secondary character by December. It's around the other way this year because the key "fourth player" for our APL 12 and 14 home games hit 16th level and retired, so I'm waiting for more of the characters in our second tier to hit 10th level so they can get full rewards at APL 12.

If the adapted scenarios hadn't started appearing last year, I expect I wouldn't exhaust the TUs for both my primary and secondary characters this year - I can't play regionals because of my writer/editor responsibilities, and I can't play out of region because of the cost and inconvenience of travelling interstate. However, the adapted scenarios are excellent "TU soaks". :)

Cheers,

So far I've pretty consistently run two characters out of TU's and came close on 1-2 others.

But it shifts from year to year which it is, and the biggest impact is which chars get a lot of play at foreign conventions. Obviously RHOD has a huge impact this year, if you play it. That guy is essentially out of the campaign once he starts it.

I'm not sure how this year is going to go. Last year our "mains" got a lot of play, there was just a lot of L10-14 play opportunities and I see a fair amount of cores in those ranges this year. Below them we have two 8s, two 6s, four 4s and 2-6 1s (me and my wife). Plus I have my "play alone" characters, one of which is RHODing this year and will run out, and the other usually runs out of TU's just cause I like playing her and often play her with my wife's high level char (my wife's cleric plays about 2/3 of the time with Burke, who is same level, and 1/3 of the time with Olivia, who is usually 2-3 levels behind her).

Because my wife's cleric gets alot of play, Olivia is always playing catchup, and thus I'm tempted to play her at every opportunity.

This year, I'm doing pretty well on TU's except for the one allocated for RHOD. Nobody is looking like running out yet, but that is likely because this year has had no travel opportunities yet (and it's gonna be that way for the near future too)

My perrenland Level 7 currently uses about 14 TU on day 1 for metaorgs. When she gets promoted to junior officer (military) and the grove (religious) she will be starting the year with something like 33 Tu before she even plays a game.

My main (7th) is down to 20 TUs now. Combination of burning 11 TUs at the start of the year for metaorgs, playing several Cores (including Dominion, which cost 4), and playing at a convention in February where I wound up playing him in all 6 slots. I'm going to try to save most of his remaining TUs for the rest of the Verbobonc regionals this year.

I've got 2 other PCs that I haven't even touched this year, so I'll probably be focusing on them in any other, non-Verbobonc play I get this year.

This year...
Primary has used 7(went to a convention where there weren't any APL 8+ tables the 1st day and my home LG game is usually APL 2-6 recently). Will probably play Fields of Ruin/Hellspike Prison with him.

Secondary has used 25(RHoD+metaorg)

Tertiary has used 16.

The major thing that could change how things work is what happens with RHoD - my Secondary has actually caught up to my Primary's level due to it and I could end up switching them - we're short arcane and my primary's arcane, secondary's an archer.

My main character spent 52 TUs in the first few weeks of '07.

My latest character spent 10 TUs after his first mod because of Meta-Orgs.

On my various characters, I have the following TUs remaining:

50, 14, 3, 46, 44, 52, 52, 52, 52

So, that looks like 103 TUs total used so far this year.

I've got...

7 TUs remaining on my primary (actually 42 but you need at least 35 for RH)
35 TUs remaining on my secondary
45 TUs on a level 2
50 TUs on a level 1
50 TUs on a different level 1

Main (8th level) has 38. Going to play him more though to kind of spread out from my other PCs

Regional PC (6th level) has 40

My "in a group that plays mostly with PCs in that group" (6th level) has 15 left due to meta-orgs, crafting and front-loading Dwarven-type mods.

I have several 1st & 2nd level PCs with full TUs.

It's varied wildly for my characters. Although I've only got two characters (A rogue2/conjurer3 and a sorcerer4) who really have to worry about TUs.

My rogue/wizard is down to 30 TUs, as he lost 10 to a TU draining AR item. And last year he hit multiple hangups that cost extra TUs, so between last year and this year, he's only got 20 ARs.

My sorcerer has about 50 TUs, but he's going into red hand, so his will get sucked up pretty fast.

Neither are in any Metaorgs, so all TUs are spent adventuring or dealing with the aftermath of said adventuring.

I just ran out of this year's TUs on my main character. Being only April 1st I am wondering what the average player has left for TUs on your main character.

Well...lessee...I play 2 characters semi-regularly once a week...well...that would be one session for one character...either one or the other character at a time.

1 of the characters is about half-complete for the year...and the other one will be just about finished if I can shoe-horn him into the game named after Hellboy's artifact.

I am considering something similiar. My RHOD starting character started as a level 4 fighter in a party with a lot of higher level fighters. Starting low in RHOD he naturally is zooming through the levels and will finish the year level with my primary but I am considering swapping him out. The only downside to swapping is loss of favors that only work in RHOD.

I have two characters. One has 52 TU left (hasnt' played yet - in fact hasn't played since the Lost Cavern at Gen Con), the other 47.

On average, I use up one character's worth of TU every 3 calendar years. I wonder why I even bother to track it (besides that pesky reason that it's the law!).
