My backpack, which contained all my characters and ARs (and quite a few books), was stolen recently.

Basically, is it possible to replace the ARs? and if so, how?

My friend had that happen to him and he said that (I think) he was able to get all of his ARs back. And to also use the DMG for how much gold you have and stuff. But I would talk to the Triad about that (which is also what my friend did).

if you are well organized you will have scanned all your ARs shortly after you got them, as well as your tidy MIL and CMIs (former MIC), just print them out, fill out a new character sheet, inform your triad about it and they will inform you how to get the whole thing signed :)

ok, this was the optimistic version :P

if you can reconstruct the play history of your characters - get hold of copies of the ARs of the players you shared tables with, registration tables from cons etc. - contact your local triad and as many of the DMs in question for replacements.

add up the XP all these ARs show or take the minimum of the last "proofable" level.

just invoke the "charity of friends" clause and get as many goodies as you can from your ARs.

if your character was heavy in crafting, you are out of luck somehow, ask the triad how much discount they allow you.

ps: of course i have all my ARs and MICs scanned and stored on three devices ;) you never know

Contact your local triad. They should be able to help you out.

I had it happen to me a few years ago, 1 week before Spring Revel. A quick email to my triad point of contact and I had instructions on what I had to do. It owrked out ok, considering i had to do it while driving from Canberra to Brisbane to go to the con.
