| LGMoses12-31-06, 10:27 AM | when races of the dragon came out we played a few adventures under a new DM. Not LG, just home crap. Well, he didn't know what he was doing or anything so it was dumb. We still make fun of him for forgetting to tell us important terrain features like the presence of a lake. We all call for spot checks to spot lakes sometimes. But I played a kobold rogue with the sub levels and all that. I had an extremely high trtapfinding skill. It was crazy. |
| Morgen12-31-06, 01:55 PM | I think I'd like to play a Dragonwrought Kobold sorcerer who took a lot of draconic heratige feats. Cute little silver skinned kobold who was a chaotic good outcast from his tribe or a surviving member of a tribe of good kobolds. He'd need to be a silver dragonish kobold so he could have a really good disguise check with spells to back up his ranks and his need to keep a low profile when he was in dangerous places. If he got into a secondary class it'd probably be Dragonheart Mage. It fits with his dragonism. Droganism? Who knows! Home games can be far, far more interesting then Living Greyhawk. It's too bad you had such a bad experiance LGM. |
| LGMoses12-31-06, 08:43 PM | Yeah, I haven't played that many dnd games. I run more than I play. I got interested a long time back and actually started running before I played. I learn something new every session. |
| jstorrie01-01-07, 03:29 AM | Trapfinding cleric! The army of one. |
| Iswald01-02-07, 12:33 AM | I'm guessing I'd be a dead kobold because there's no way the overwhelming majority of citizens would let me live. |
| ranagrande01-02-07, 02:45 AM | I'm guessing I'd be a dead kobold because there's no way the overwhelming majority of citizens would let me live. In my experience, this isn't true. The overwhelming majority of contact that I have had with kobolds in Living Greyhawk has been peaceful. |
| Morgen01-02-07, 03:57 AM | I can't really think of a mod where I've killed a kobold in the past three years. Goblins, orcs, gnolls, hobgoblins and the like sure, but not a kobold. I've seen kobold paladins, and we've had kobolds help us out a great deal. Some even ended up as special favors on certs! There are some serious misconceptions about kobolds that need to be fixed! Kobolds should no longer considered to be LE in living greyhawk. ;) |
| Shieldhart9101-02-07, 05:22 AM | A happy one. All jokes aside, my Kobold plan...was a Rogue who was more of a Bard...who just wants more skill points. On the exterior, he's a heart-warmed Kobold musiscian, and an ever-vigilant citizen of Furyondy: very patriotic for the nation. However, once he had at least a +15 Sleight of Hand...robbing the overking for everything he had. The Kobold would be a continous hippie, hugging every person in sight. Yeahhh...I had hopes. High hopes. Smashed to pieces. |

He played in Blood on Bright Sands and a certain intro mod. That is it. But during that time he has been involved in the deaths of atleast 16 kobolds. Leave kobolds where they are at, under my barbarians boot. |

Leave kobolds where they are at, under my barbarians boot. Given that many of those must have come during that intro, are you sure it isn't your region that's the odd one here, or maybe just that mod? I've played about a dozen mods involving kobolds, and I only fought against them in two of those. Sometimes the kobolds helped us, sometimes we helped them, and in most cases we just left each other alone. My highest character earned the favor of a powerful dwarven druid by not killing kobolds in a year four core mod. More recently, that same character earned the favor of a lawful good kobold church. |
| LGMoses01-02-07, 04:15 PM | Maybe our kobolds are just different. They're lackies to bigger things that send them to be slaughtered by fledgling adventurers. I haven't met a kobold yet who felt like saying anything more than "help there is a spear in my back!" |
| Morgen01-02-07, 06:23 PM | Well I suppose there has to statistically be some evil kobolds somewhere. Too bad Mos that your region just happens to be the place. We should start a petition to get kobolds in Living Greyhawk converted into a ususally good race instead of a ususally evil race. ;) |
| LGMoses01-02-07, 07:43 PM | I like em that way. Its like practicing to kill dragons by killing millions of little tiny wimpy dragons. Watch out for those kobold champions though. Ouch. |
| knoway2101-05-07, 10:30 AM | I happen to be playing a kobold right now. I'm Sorserer level 3, Kobold Paragon level 2. Two more levels and i'll be taking my first level of dragonmage. The big thing for playing a kobold and living, is to play out thier fearless/fearful area's the right way. So far i've out lived 7 PC's, 4 pets, and 3 NPC's. :) |
