I was reading the Complete Adventurer when I came across this skill. Is it allowed in LG? How is it adjucated? The material costs alone can fluctuate wildly.

Cheers.

Like all craft skills you can make one craft check at the cost of 1 time unit (TU) and get the result in gold pieces (GP). You can do it once per adventure and only after adventures in your home region or metaregion. All the details are in the LGCS. Make sure to read it before you try to use the skill.

You can not use skill to make poison if that was your intention.

Yup...in LG, use of any craft skill simply nets you GPs. You don't get to "keep" whatever it is you're crafting.

So a armorsmith or weaponsmith warrior cannot make his own gear? A bowyer cannot make his own bow?

I already knew that you could not make magic items for anyone except yourself, but I did not know that mundane items could not be made at all.

Thanks for the info.

That's right. Unless you need the skill to qualify for a PrC or something, or want to make a few extra GP at the end of modules, craft is a pretty useless feat in LG.

Take a look at the LGCS. At the bottom of p.51 / top of p.52, it details how you can use Craft.

Axtually people have forgotten that there is one craft skill you can use to make items.

I suppose using survival to replentish healers its spell pouches and arrows is sorta crafting things.. but it also sorta just replacing the gold you'd pay for upkeep..
