I think someone mentioned this earlier. Obviously the problem has not been solved. 2. Insufficient player base means no region has been assigned for Brazil. Only scenarios that can be played in Latin America are Core scenarios. However, a Circle member has said: Currently no plans exist to add any new countries to the campaign. We will probably be reviewing this policy towards the end of the year. A large part of this review would be dependant on the play numbers from prospective regions Therefore it is possible that if a number of core scenarios being played increases significantly, Brazil could be 'assimilated' into existing region. If you require more information, just ask me. |

It would certainly give Lordship a boost. Indeed. After all Spain is the official language (or at least secondary) of several countries like Brazil & Peru. I don't know much of the situation in Lordship, other that first regional is being written but there might be something at Gencon Spain. I also know players from Portugal would also like to be included in Lordship of the Isles. There was also a group from Peru who asked to be included. But it really depends on number of core scenarios played in a country and if there is no viable reason to include a country, it won't happen. S.H, Naerie webslave (writing yet another regional....) |
| Cernunnos06-22-04, 12:23 AM | Well, if you made it Spanish and Portuguese, you'd cover all of Latin America (sans French Guyana, but we can fold them into Ekbir ;) ) Spain, and Portugal. Or else give Brazil and Portugal their own region (even though most people I've talked to from either country claim they speak Spanish almost as well as they speak Portuguese). |

Latin America = Lordship of the Isles:D Getting an own region won't happen as said by the Circle but if entire latin america would be Lordship of the Isles and Guyana count as Ekbir, it would like EU area = Splintered Suns meta-region with one region that has nothing to do with Great Kingdom and nowwhere near it's successor states when positioned in Flanaess:D S.H, Naerie webslave |

Just keep playing Cores in Brazil and maybe it will happen if play numbers become high enough. Try to get couple of others to DM their own groups and you should have a nice network of players soon enough. For starting players I recommend following scenarios because they are not too deadly:) Face Value Lerara When Orcs Attack I've also heard 'Circle of Sin', 'Nine Lives' & 'Return to Isles' are good for starting players though I have not played them myself. (It might also be a good idea to send email to Splintered Suns coordinator Creighton) |
