I ran Shedding Scales last month, at my FLGS, and am about to run Clipping Wings. Is a sequel to clipping wings available or in the works?

Not yet, though I have to imagine there will be, given how Clipping Wings ends. (Keep in mind that Clipping Wings only came out last fall).

The author posts on this board regularly, so maybe he can give us an answer. :)

Yes, I am on the schedule for 2006 with the next mod in the series.

That's great! The folks at the gaming shop in Jersey where I ran Shedding Scales loved it. Clipping Wings is being run next weekend. Thanks for your work on this series!

Thanks for the kind words. Happy gamers are the reason for writing, so hearing things like this really helps with the motivation.

Be well,

Great to hear, Shawn. My group has really enjoyed the first two, and we're definitely looking forward to another one. They really want to know what happened to Ianta. :)

I agree, this is one of my favourite series, the storyline is great and the NPCs are unconventional and engaging. My crazy sorcerer / wild mage wants to retire to the town in Clipping Wings, but is a bit worried that she won't fit in because she's too normal ;)

I'm really looking forward to the sequel. My sorcerer spent a lot of Shedding Scales talking to Ianta about her powers, and by the end of the module had pretty much adopted her as a sister. The events of Clipping Wings left her a bit shellshocked, I'm hoping that the sequel will give her some resolution :)

If you haven't already, you should try to play "Here There Be Dragons." Just sayin'. :D

Don't worry, I played it with my sorcerer / wild mage. I actually played it as my first APL 10 game with that character, when she'd just hit L8. It was very challenging, but a lot of fun, and returning to the town was great. Most memorable NPCs ever :D

Both were well liked by the players I judged for. I lament burning them. They seem like they were fun to play. So, great job, Shawn Merwin - can't wait for the next adventure(s).

"burning them"? I.e., DM'ing them without having had the chance to play them

a.k.a. "eating them". I've eaten all of them, unfortunately.

You think eating them is tough....try being a contributor to "Here There Be Dragons" and then never being able to enjoy its fun! Ugh. ;)

Shawn - get cracking on that next module!

If anyone is ever in a position where they may have to eat/burn one of my mods, email me and let me know. I'm willing to run a table online if necessary or travel a reasonable distance (I live in extreme Western NY) if it helps out a judge.

And Mr. Lotempio, don't talk to me about getting to work. I believe you have your own work to do . . . tick tock tick tock.

Thanks to all for the kind words.

ACK! NO!

Don't be nice to him. He gets "uppity" when you are nice to him.
:P

Now get working so I can get working!

(Shawn: while I ate Shedding Scales, I played Clipping Wings, and had a lot of fun with it. Especially since I had a certain tattoo, and another player kept trying to convince me how evil Ur-Flan magic was. I'll miss the sequel, but that one was very good.)

Oh, that's right, I have you work with you again now, don't I?

Er, I mean, hooray! I get to work with Sam again!

That reminds me, Sam, please AIM me at some point when you have a free moment. I have some questions . . .

Thanks!

Enjoyed both Shedding Scales and Clipping Wings. Hopefully will play Here There Be Dragons soon. I have a Thrall of the Serpent, who is getting some odd (well, ok, in her case more odd) looks now...
Curious for HTBD and the sequel.
If you need a playtest I could possibly entice a DM here to run it.

Hello,

I played "clipping Wings" today, very good adventure.

I know its offtopic, but I have short question:

*****SPOILER AR CLIPPING WINGS******

****SPOILER******
The last favor of the Adventure record grants access to two core-spells.
Can I choose "Wish" ??? Itīs just for prestige purposes! :)

If you meet all of the requirements for the favor and the rules of LG: having a spellbook, having room in that spellbook, having the spell on your spell list, etc. then you certainly can. Be the envy of your friends . . .
