Keeping players informed [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-12-06, 08:58 PM Would it be possible to have a simple monthly update on what documents are in the works? For example:

LGCS 5.0 - February 2006
Dispel Confusion 2.2 - March 2006

Now just fill in the anticipated release dates for other things such as:

LGCS 5.1 - ???
Dieties 2.1 - ???
Dispel Confusion 2.3 - ???
Spell Compendium Errata - ???

I understand that the circle may not know when ALL these things are to be released, but I would appreciate if those that are known could be shared.

Publishing dates just encourages people to complain when they aren't done on time. None of the campaign staff is paid, they are volunteers, and real life interferes at times. I'd be willing to bet that there were at least a dozen posts asking where LGCS 5.0 was, just on these boards, not to mention the various Yahoo groups.

Pretty much anyone can put together a list of what is coming, but there's no good reason to specify dates. They'll be released when they are released.

03-13-06, 09:13 AM Not only that, but not every text that affects LG is in the Circle's hands. The errata for the Spell Compendium, for example, is completely out of the Circle's control.
