| pauln611-08-05, 11:13 AM | I'm attempting to stitch together a detailed WoG gazeteer for my own campaign from all available sources and I'm currently working on Keoland and Furyondy Gazeteers. I've found all the basic information from the official sources and I was wondering what further information was out there, particularly relating to LGG adventures. It would be cost-prohibitive (and logistically impossible for the older mods) to get hold of all the LGG mods just for the name of the local innkeeper. Presumably modules have been set in locations around the two kingdoms and have involved various npcs. Has anybody played adeventures that include this sort of of stuff? I'm thinking the names of local inns, local guilds & guildmasters, local merchants, local priests, minor nobility (e.g. the Earl of Linth, the Earl of Gand, the Count of Marlbridge, the Baron of Westgate, & the Baron of Riverwatch?) etc. In particular, there seems to be almost no oficial information regarding any of the settlements in Keoland apart from population distribution. Any assistance would be welcome! P.S. Actually sooner or later I'm going to need information on every other country too. Make it a free-for-all if anybody has any information not already contained in official publications. Stat blocks for towns like the ones appearing in Dungeon would be a godsend! |

Actually, it'd be logistically impossible for you get hold of even the current Keoland and Furyondy regional adventures. The regional system in Living Greyhawk means that you can only order a regional adventure if you're an RPGA DM who lives in that region. Thus, you can only order Keoland adventures if you live in Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey, and can only order Furyondy adventures if you live in Michigan. Since your post indicates you live in the U.K., you're not going to be able to order those regions' modules (and it'd be against RPGA rules for someone to send them to you, even retired ones). When you say you've already looked at "all the offical sources", does that include seeing what those regions' Triads have posted on their websites? Information like names of inns, names of NPC, details on towns may well be scattered through those regions' modules. What you'd be relying on, at this point, would be for some kind soul who *has* played / has copies of those modules to share those details with you. It's also possible that the Triads for those regions have some sort of "bible" or reference document for writers that contains that sort of detail; however, if such even exists, I don't know how willing (or able) they'd be to share it. |

Teasers quite often have a few names of npcs and locations. I think the problem for the triads is simply time - I know for a fact that stitching all this information together is a nightmare, plus I'm sure they wouldn't want all the players to know too much info. Mind you, if they want to send me all the mods I'll happily set up a database for them at no charge - lol. But I think you're right, I'm going to be dependent on friendly Pennsylvanians providing me with snippets from half-remembered drunken sessions dating back four years. How much information can you get out of an American with a six-pack? The information might be as unreliable as Uhas of Neheli  |

| pauln611-09-05, 04:26 AM | Ok, as long as we're talking rugby, I understand what you're saying. Except that you get more information than you want out of most rugby players after 4 pints+. Now sober up and provide me with some useful information dammit. There must be somebody out there who'll take pity on me :weep: |
