I don't have the card myself, but someone posted the description of it to an LG board I'm on so I thought I'd share it all with you.

*Sojourner from the Mist Kingdom*
**
The Mist Kingdom is named for the persistent fog in which its seven islands
are shrouded. The islands lie in the Volhoun Ocean (Pearl Sea), south of the
Amedio Jungle. The Mist Kingdom is home to draconic lords- at least one
dragon lives on each island. The dragons coexist peacefully with one another
and with beastfolk and kobolds that share their island homes and serve them.

*Benefit*: This card unlocks the kobold race from *Races of the Dragon*.
While you look slightly different than a normal kobold (metallic or mist
grey scales and eyes) you must be cautious, as kobolds are killed on sight
in many places. You derive your heritage from a non-evil dragon. If you
worship a deity, you must worship Aasterinian, Bahamut, Chronpsis, or Io.
This card also unlocks the following rules items from *Races of the Dragon*.

RITES: Draconic Rite of Passage
FEATS: Accelerate Metamagic, Dragon Tail, Dragon Wings, Dragonwrought,
Extraordinary Trapsmith, Improved Dragon Wings, Kobold Endurance, Kobold Foe
Strike, Practical Metamagic
RACIAL SUBSTITUTION LEVELS: Dragonblood cleric, dragonblood sorcerer, kobold
fighter, kobold ranger, kobold rogue
PRESTIGE CLASSES: Disciple of the eye, dracolexi, singer of condordance

I got my cards today (15!)
Although I didn't check every word, it looks like what was posted above is exactly what is printed on the card.

If the text quoted is verbatim, then it appears kobold characters don't have the same regional problems that Snow Elves do.

Can you use that card if you are reincarnated into a kobold?

Now that is an excellent question !!

So no Radiant Servant kobolds though a cleric of either Io or Aasterinian might be interesting. Both have favored weapon scimitar (Dervish kobold's anyone ??). Io's domains are Knowledge, Magic, Strength and Travel. Aasterinian's domains are Chaos, Dragon, Luck, Travel and Trickery.

Wow. That is very, very cool. I was figuring another snow elf thing with racial modifiers listed on card or reference to monster manual. I was not expecting the entire races of dragon feat/substitution level/prc list opened up.

Maybe it's time to do another sorcerer.

Hmm, so can you use the unlocked rules items without creating a new character?

And do you have to be a Kobold to use the card?
copper_wyrmling

07-23-07, 09:28 PM
And do you have to be a Kobold to use the card?

That's what I want to know. I would happily pay a card slot to unlock access to Practical Metamagic with my lower-level sorcerer (I need to reread the feat just to be sure, but I think it does what I want) - I know you have to be dragonblood, but she's already taken Draconic Heritage.

And oooh, dracolexi and singer of concordance! I need to go reread those PrCs.

Actually +2 CON = same extra hit points as improved toughness and better fort saves and ability to withstand CON damage/drain as a bonus

Singer of Concordance is a very funky Prestige class guys, I have races of the dragon, and I am very surprised they gave access.

Looks like a Cleric of Io to me! Perhaps of a nice shiny metallic dragon. Wisdom isn't a negative stat of kobolds after all. Dragonblood cleric is funky, so might look into that.

For those that want to know what a singer of concordance, It's a REALLY cool PrC: (Warning, wall of text to the face)

10 level PrC

Entry Requirements:
Subtype: Dragonblood.
Spellcasting: Ability to cast 3rd-level divine spells.
Skills: Knowledge (religion) 8 ranks.
Deity: Io.

Class stuff:
FULL caster Progression
Half BaB

Aspect of Peace (Su): Upon entering this class, you attune yourself to the great Song of Io and to one Sphere of Concordance that is sustained by Io’s song. In so doing, you draw that sphere’s aspect of peace spiritually closer to you and the reality you inhabit. This effect is always active while you are conscious (and the effect moves with you), but not if you are unconscious or dead. It grants you immunity to the first compulsion effect (magical or otherwise) that would otherwise affect you each day, and for the remainder of the day grants you a +4 morale bonus on saving throws to resist further compulsion effects. Each ally within 10 feet of you at any time during the day feels a reflection of the Sphere of Concordance’s aspect of peace and gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against compulsion effects.
As you gain levels as a Singer of Concordance, you gain the ability to call up additional aspects of a Sphere of Concordance. As this occurs, you can enjoy multiple aspects operating simultaneously, without conflict. In fact, the more aspects called into existence, the closer you draw to your chosen Sphere of Concordance.

Bonus Domain: At 2nd level, you gain access to an additional cleric domain from the following list of domains: Dragon, Healing, Knowledge, Magic, Strength, Travel, or Wealth. You gain the granted power associated with the domain you choose, and you can select the spells in that domain as your daily domain spells.

Aspect of Refuge (Su): At 3rd level, you increase your attunement to your sphere, allowing you to call upon its aspect of refuge. You can call up this effect as a standard action, and dismiss it as a swift action (see page 122) or as a free action made in conjunction with attacking any other creature (automatic dismissal), or by moving more than 20 feet from where you first called up the aspect of refuge.

All creatures within 20 feet of you that attempt to strike or otherwise target any other creature, even with a spell, must attempt a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier). If the save succeeds, the creature can attack normally and is not affected. If the save fails, the creature can’t follow through with the attack. That part of its action is lost, and it can’t directly attack another creature while it remains within the refuge. Creatures that do not attempt to target another creature with an attack or other
effect remain unaffected. The refuge does not prevent creatures within 20 feet of you from being attacked or affected by area or effect spells, or from other attacks launched from farther away. You can use nonattack spells or otherwise act within the refuge without dismissing it. For instance, you could heal wounds, cast a bless spell, perform an augury, or summon creatures.

Aspect of Exclusion (Sp): At 5th level, you further increase your attunement to your sphere, allowing you to call upon its aspect of exclusion once per day for a period of up to 1 round per caster level. You can call up this effect as a standard action, and dismiss it as a swift action or by moving more than 10 feet from where you first called up the aspect of exclusion. The aspect of exclusion appears as an immobile, faintly shimmering sphere that surrounds you and all creatures within 10 feet of you. This aspect prevents all spell effects of 4th level or lower from entering the sphere. This effect is otherwise identical to globe of invulnerability (and is considered a 6th-level spell effect). After reaching 8th level, you can use this ability twice per day.

Aspect of Healing (Su): At 6th level, you become able to call upon your sphere’s aspect of healing. This aspect is always active while you are conscious (and the effect moves with you), but not if you are unconscious or dead. Any healing performed within 10 feet of you (and any healing you initiate) cures an additional 1d8 points. Undead within 10 feet of you that are dealt damage by a cure spell take an additional 1d8 points of damage.

Aspect of Safety (Su): At 9th level, you can call upon your sphere’s aspect of safety once per day for a period of up to 1 minute per caster level. You can call up the effect as a standard action, and dismiss it as a swift action or by moving more than 10 feet from where you first called up the aspect of safety. The area within the 10-foot-radius sphere surrounding you is impervious to planar travel of any sort, except if such travel is initiated
by you. The effect also deals 6d6 points of damage to creatures that attempt
to enter it other than those you designate. A Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your
character level + your Wis modifier) halves the damage dealt. An undesignated creature within the sphere takes no further damage beyond the initial 6d6 points, unless it exits and then attempts to reenter.

Sphere of Concordance (Sp): At 10th level, you perfect your unison with the great Song. You gain the ability to transport you and up to eight willing companions to and from a particular Sphere of Concordance at will. This effect is considered a 7th-level spell effect.

The sphere of concordance itself is a demi planar pocket which is only really accessible by you and those you allow. It is comfortable, and healing is empowered there. It is frankly really cool, and who will ever need an Inn again? (unless there is a dimensional lock)

As implied by the wording of the card, you must be play a kobold in order to have this card in your stack.

Also, you cannot be reincarnated into a kobold, and then use this card. Creation cards don't work like that - they must be a part of your character from 1st level on. Note that it's still possible to play a kobold (with the card, of course), get reincarnated into a different race, and continue to derive the benefits that are not intrinsic to the race (anything that requires you to be a kobold, dragonblooded, etc.).

so.. does that mean that a kobold reincarnated into a kobold.. is still playable... or does he become a generic npc kobold?

Ah well, at least having Practical Metamagic widely available in the campaign might improve my chances of being granted a special mission for it :) I just hope my kobold card and I don't cross paths over the Pacific - I have plans for my tiny little pyromaniacal kobold warmage :mage:
Shaudius

07-24-07, 07:07 AM
You should never need to have two of this card, unless you're looking for one for a buddy, you only need one in your stack, and you can't play more than one PC at a time. So even if you have 25 kobolds, you can only play one at a time and thus would only ever need one card.

Cohorts use your stack, don't know what that means for creation cards(and for kobold cohorts, but I imagine the answer is no).

Dracolexi is a pretty OKAY class. I wouldn't mind being one as far as I could tell- but I only browsed over it all. Did anyone else get their kobold card, or was it just me? I got 1, looking for a second.

Huge question!

The Dragonwrought feat grants a bonus to skills determined by one's draconic overlards.

Presuming Mist Dragons are the only choice we can make if we take the Dragonwrought feat, to what skill do they grant a bonus?

Thanks!

Re-read the card:

"The Mist Kingdom is home to draconic lords- at least one dragon lives on each island. The dragons coexist peacefully with one another and with beastfolk and kobolds that share their island homes and serve them."

Also says you have "metallic or mist grey scales and eyes."

There's nothing that says you have to worship Mist Dragons, just that you're from the Mist Kingdom... There are all kinds of dragons! Unless an official ruling comes out, I take that as meaning "pick one that ain't evil" (although they will probably rule Chromatic in as the default).

I wonder what dragon would be most associated with Io. Hrm.

All Dragons are from Io.

The most 'like' him in direct descending are Tiamat and Bahamut.

As Io is neutral, you must be Neutral on one axis to play a cleric. That should help in your decision as to type of dragon.

I am really looking forward to making a singer of concordance.

Why can't you be Lawful Neutral or Chaotic Neutral? Those are both one step away on the alignment spectrum unless I'm missing something about how alignment works?

And yes, I can't wait to make my Singer of Concordance. What a nice change from Radiant Servant of Pelor, and it isn't full of cheeze either... I mean, it's powerful and has some nice effects, but it's not grossly overpowered.

Accelerated Metamagic is accessible at level 1. Rapid Metamagic isn't available until level 9.

Practical Metamagic is kickass, but limited only to sorcerers. I have an existing sorcerer who will be retraining and taking Empower Spell to gain Practical Empower. I might even go for a spell focus and Metamagic School Focus to gain "free empowers, 3/Day".

Dragonblood Sorcerer is cool too. Free Draconic Heritage lets a Kobold Sorcerer gain Dragon Breath at first level.

Kobold Rogues might actually stand a chance against the inflated DCs of some traps. They get a +6 bonus to searching for and disabling traps by level 8!

I'm not seeing anyone talking about the Sorcerer alternate class feature that is now open, Metamagic Specialist... I mean, it's essentially free (no feat requirements), and lets you apply a metamagic feat spontaneously 3+(int mod) times per day.

Given that Sorcerer's don't usually have the BEST int's, they usually aren't bad!

I would say the opening of this could potentially outdate Rapid Metamagic, which isn't available until 9th anyways...

Your 4th level kobold sorcerers could be applying metamagics to their first level feats as standard actions with no extra feats! Throw Metamagic School Focus and Practical Metamagic onto that pile... Wow.

I have a sorcerer PC in a home game and built a NPC sorcerer bad guy for the DM in the same game and both use that alternate class feature. Since almost no one will remain straight sorcerer for their career, the opportunity cost is low.

Yeah, you're right. Spontaneous casters only. Bards, Beguilers, Warmages and Sorcerers. (And Hexblades, but what hexblade focuses on magic?)

Actually, no, no other source of access. But maybe he might get a wish and become a Kobold, just to get the feat. ;)

The problem with going for Practical Metamagic and Metamagic School Focus is that sorcerers must take:

Spell Focus: (X)
A metamagic feat. (Empower will be the most common, before higher level +2 quickens kick in.)
Practical Metamagic (It only works for one feat. But I believe that you can take it repeatedly.)
Metamagic School Focus.

A human sorcerer with Draconic Heritage is no better off than a Kobold Sorcerer with Dragonblood Sorcerer. They both still need to take 4 feats, so the yummy goodness will only kick in at level NINE. Retraining can make this easier, but it's still a "Horizon Build" that gains more power at higher levels, making the lower "Hump" levels (5 to 9) harder.

But still, +0 empowers? +2 Quickens? Or maybe Elemental Admixture for +2. There's nothing like doubling your damage for half the normal cost. Heck, a ray wielder would Split Rays for +0 three times a day!

Question to the people in charge (Britt? Mr Tulach, sir?)

The kobold card unlocks Dracolexi. One of the class abilities of the Dracolexi is to learn, know and cast Power Word spells. Which Power Word spells are unlocked along with this class, if any. Or are we stuck with the PHB Power Words (since there is no OPEN non-phb Power Word Spells).

Or will this handled at a later date when people are actually going to be high enough a level to get the ability?

If you're using a card slot for the off chance that you need to auto-confirm a critical when you roll a nat 20 with a vorpal weapon, that's fine by me. Of course, that's assuming you have a vorpal weapon (what is that, 72,3xx gp?).

PS: Getting Metamagic School Focus and Practical Spellcaster together is the hard part. You need four feats total. A Spell Focus, a metamagic feat, (Empower is recommended) Practical Spellcaster and MMSF. It'll only kick in at level 9.

But, the +1 empowers will hold the character over after level 6 and before level 9.

Well, canon Greyhawk dragons are slightly different from Steel dragons, and even more different from that write up. They are definitely similar, and the AD&D 2nd edition Steel Dragon mentions that Greyhawk dragons are related to Steel dragons. They've been merging the two over the years and editions, and the most recent write ups have them as different names for the same thing.

Depending on what write up is considered "canon," the one in Dragon #339 is virtually identical to that article, except for changes in the CR and some fixes in the table, and that is the same as the one in Dragons of Faerun.

I think "Canon" is referring to the older AD&D Greyhawk Dragons. They were probably significantly different when compared to steel dragons.

Yeah, I was referring to the older versions. They weren't significantly different. Apparently the first Steel Dragon was almost a cut and paste of the original Greyhawk Dragon and they were just trying to make it more generic. There were very slight differences, appearance for one, I think. The new version has different breath weapon effects and merges the two types completely. The original version had a poison gas cone that put you in a sort of near death stasis, then they added an acid cone, and now it's a poison gas cone and acid line. The Greyhawk Dragon has a blue mane and beard that the steel dragon doesn't have.

I think the crunchy original differences were the poison (Greyhawk dragon) and acid breath (steel dragon), and a minor difference in the magic resistance.

I'd like to start taking credit for us getting to play Kobolds about now, since I'm making this post to ask a more serious question. Without my countless hours of bombarding message board after message board for the ability to play one, we never would have come this far. :weep:

Alright, now that's out of the way, am I reading this description right? The card says nothing about kobolds having to be from a particular region or anything like that? I could make a kobold cleric of Io for the Greyhawk Campaign if I have the card? (I do expect, ironically, to not get it somehow.)

Why? It makes for an extra (and fun) roleplaying challenge if the kobold PC can't speak Common. Besides, most arcane casters out there pick up Draconic anyway, so chances are pretty good that there'll be a translator for the kobold in any given party.

I hate it when mods have everyone be able to speak Common, even when it doesn't make sense to have them do so. I remember there were a few Core mods in the past that took you to the remote Olman lands in the Amedio Jungle. Now, being so far removed from the rest of the Flanaess, I would've assumed no one there spoke Common, yet somehow there was always 1 Olman present who spoke Common who could serve as interpreter. That really broke my suspension of disbelief. Plus it doesn't reward resourceful PCs who memorize/invest in scrolls of Comprehend Languages/Tongues (and the mod could've accounted for parties that don't have anyone who can cast those spells. Have the PCs make Diplomacy/Sense Motive checks to figure out what the Olmans are saying; making different DCs will give you different amounts of information).

I am tempted to not give my Kobold PC common, but rather that language of the region it went to. (Flan in my case).

That way it'll be a hell of a lot more fun to roleplay!

However it could be an issue skill points wise for many kobold sorcerers etc.

That's right. If you can't speak common, you can't tell the townspeople that you're not one of the evil kobolds. They will be happy to provide a rope and tree for your hanging.

I believe it is a necessary limiting factor that adds to role-playing by exposing the very real problems kobolds have, whether or not they are PCs.

However, I will also add that I am strongly opposed toward reducing the moral absolutism in the game. I view adding evil creatures as PCs in a game where evil is forbidden as doing exactly that.

Where's my Aasimar character cards (or any other goodly race currently unavailable)?

What's next? Drow ranger dervishes? Duergar? half-ogres?

If there are character creation cards, let them be duskblades before kobolds or drow.

Shoot...let them be psionic characters...or any of the multitude of base classes that are NONC.

That said, some of my best friends in this game want to play kobolds...damned powergamers. :smirk:

Well, Kobolds are hardly overpowered.

And my main frustration with this attitude being presented by a TRIAD arises with the scenario:

Player A thinks it'd be cool to use her new campaign card and makes a fun Kobold character, gets like 6 levels with it... Then discovers she has to move.

Player A moves to Metaregion B, where Triad Member C rules that all Kobolds shall be lynched on sight.

Now her character that she has spent a year or so cultivating is useless because someone is opposed to a Kobold in their region.

At the least, I would like to see some cooperation between the Card Creators and Triad members, so that they could posit "OK, so if we make these kobolds legal, you guys aren't going to outlaw and place a bounty on their heads just for existing, right?"

It's like giving a kid a piece of candy, then yelling at them when they want to eat it.

The Greyhawk world is all about ambiguity, not absolutism. Yes, alignments are absolute, but situations in Oerth rarely are, or aren't clearly so.

I'm guessing that you mean in that region's Regional mods and Metaregional mods.

If Triads are going to limit Kobolds by instakilling them in certain regions, then they need to put warnings that "Kobolds will be shot on sight" in the blurb.

Keoland has done it already with Centaurs. "Large size characters will experience difficulty" and I've seen other mods with warning that anyone with draconic features or those who detect as evil will be unwelcome.

Heck, I've already been warned that I should never bring my Kobold to a Keoland Regional or a Sheldomar Valley Metaregional. Although that might be because he's a Kobold.

It hardly seems fair to put such a thing in mods, and then when players get the access to play it, say they can't.

I do wish the Circle would release some fluff explaining the sudden influx of kobolds. "A massive volcano eruption in the Mist Kingdoms mid-597 causes an influx of kobold refugees to Greyhawk City. The Lord Mayor asks everyone to treat them with the same courtesy they would extend to any other refugee, no matter sow small or scaly." Write a mod or a core special around the plot points. It would at least give Triads something to work with in adjusting their region.

It does feel a little tactless of the triads. There's those regions that treat elves like cattle, if the Circle allows them to get away with kobold character lynchings what's to stop them doing the same to elves?
"Oh gee, you're playing an elf. Didn't you know this mod was set in Ket? Okay, you can hand over your character now to be sent into slavery or we can play it out when the two dozen guards arrive."

But there's always Core mods, even that big new module storyline that's just starting.

Just because a lot of players are playing kobolds, does not mean there are a lot of kobolds.Up to this point none of my characters have ever been party to an adventuring group with a kobold. Nor, in talking to the other adventurers I've teamed with, has anyone else.

Out of character, I certainly expect that to change. And when it does, in character, it's going to be obvious the world's different in some way. There's got to be some reason a lot of kobolds decided, suddenly and simultaneously, to take up adventuring. A kobold bard struck it rich and has been spreading stories about the easy adventuring life through Greyhawk City? Some spymaster pulling strings and extending his dragonkin spy network? A going-out-of-business bookstore sale on "12 Easy Steps to Dracolexi" in the kobold quarter?

I still like the Mist Kingdom volcano apocalypse, myself, but that's just me.

This isn't something new; it's just new that you get to be the good kobold. You think those good kobold adventurers that were NPCs spent all their time alone?

How many adventures, and what level, is your character?

If he is 5th level or higher, unless you slow down playing him significantly, he will probably never see a kobold in an adventuring party because they will all be too low level.

If he is 3rd level or lower, he has played less than ten adventures, so his experiences aren't all that encompassing that never having met a kobold before would be that absolute.

Of course all your characters could hang out and compare notes constantly, but that treads perilously close to breaking the player vs character knowledge boundary.

The argument, as I understand it, is that in the entire Flanaess (sp?) there may in actuality, only be a dozen or so adventuring parties.

While LG the campaign may have members numbering in the thousands, LG the world doesn't have thousands of adventurers running amok.

As such, thousands of kobold adventurers didn't just spring up. They've been members of other adventuring parties that your character has never encountered.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

Same here. It's not like the party all pointed at the little guy and started screaming NPC. We figured out his class (I had Detect Thoughts running when we met). We learned his motives were similar to ours through RP. We joined together for an adventure.

IMO, most LG PCs are pretty easygoing when it comes to who they adventure with. How else can one explain the semi-random party make-ups at conventions. "6 random adventures meet and run off to fight evil? Sure. Trust you with my life? Why not! Here, you borrow these magic items, but I have to get them back after our mission. Technically, black flame zealot of Joramy should be a legal option for PCs. Joramy is a legal PC deitiy and LG has specifically allowed black flame zealots of her church.

So how come people can play kobolds and not play black flame zealots? Maybe you can put a PVP card in the next rewards mailing. That way, we could thin the kobold population.

In other words, help it make sense without a handwave.Exactly right. I really like what the Principality of Ulek is doing:

Recently, a number of kobolds have appeared in the Principality of Ulek claiming to be from the Mist Kingdoms of the Pearl Ocean. These kobolds are assumed to have come to the Principality searching out the Ancient Wyrm copper dragon known to some as Kaihonreidwur.

Intrigued by the metallic appearance of these little dragonbloods, Kaihonreidwur has personally vouched for these kobolds and has given those who have decided to settle in the Principality's hills near his lair outside Havenhill a token of his esteem: a small copper harp embellished with the letter K.

Mist Kingdom kobolds carrying these symbols are allowed to freely enter all the major cities of the Principality, and are expected to follow the letter and spirit of the law and to understand that they may face prejudice from many quarters after so many years of war in the Disputed Territory.

Some of these kobolds have even entered service into the Principality of Ulek Armed Forces, serving equally well as tunnel scouts and deckhands. Impressed with their cleverness and dedication to service, many in the Army and Navy are welcoming this new force. The announcement goes on to point out that some of the metaorgs are opposed to these policies and there's an NPC collecting bounties on kobold tails "no questions asked". In other words, the PoU Triad isn't relying on retroactive continuity; they're making the region actively react to the change.

I do wish the Circle would release some fluff explaining the sudden influx of kobolds. "A massive volcano eruption in the Mist Kingdoms mid-597 causes an influx of kobold refugees to Greyhawk City. The Lord Mayor asks everyone to treat them with the same courtesy they would extend to any other refugee, no matter sow small or scaly."

I don't think the Circle should be breaking canon. You can't play kobolds in the City of Greyhawk. Perhaps in the Domain of Greyhawk but not in the city.

From the Greyhawk Ruins Sourcebook:
All those wishing to enter the city must explain their business to the Watch, who take pains to question all comers - especially foreigners. Those hailing from realms hostile to or at war with the Domain of Greyhawk are barred from the city - AS ARE HUMANOIDS AND MONSTERS. All granted access to the city must make their mark on a roster that is carefuly kept by the Watch.

That's the important bit. As PC Kobolds cannot be evil, they shouldn't have any reason to be hostile to or at war with the Domain of Greyhawk.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, there aren't any Kobold nations or tribes at war with the Domain of Greyhawk.

Kobolds are humanoids and are considered monsters, but a few have overcome their race's predilection for evil and have been allowed inside Greyhawk City in the past.

The backstory for my particular Greyhawk kobold does take into account the rigorous questioning that the city watch put him through, and after some observatoin time, was allowed into the city.
Timlagor

I'm pretty sure that "monster" has no in-game definition "monstrous humanoid" does ...and all the recent Greyhawk modules (that I've seen) have described the guards as extremely interested in centaurs as a novelty but not at all hostile.

Kobolds are humanoids.. but then so are virtually all the humanoid races so that doesn't help much.

I think Britt's position it that there are only a few dozen adventurers. Any belief your character has that they have adventured with hundereds of different people is a clearly just a warping of their memory ..probably from that bump on the head you took rfom the dracolich last month, you really should get that seen to.

every table of LG is a Pocket Universe in which the things you remember from previous tables may not actually have happened (cf official results of modules ...all those people who gave the Doodad to the Faithful Flan in War of the Dust are clealry delusional ..and their memories are playign up too! :P)

Then how do you account for interactives? Suddenly, all those "hundreds" of fellow adventurers are standing, real as day, in front of you.

As far as I'm aware, no interactive has ever led to a complete collapse in the LG space-time continuum.....

Or a Kobold Druid.

A kobold Initiate of the sevenfold veil would be nigh untouchable.

A Kobold Barbarian Dragon Disciple with Reckless Rage could actually shape up to be a melee powerhouse.

But I still recommend something like a Kobold Fatespinner, Archmage, or pure rogue. (With Dragon Tail, for the extra attack per full attack and just because!)

I find the "spend two feats and get wings" intriguing.

But I find lots of stuff interesting and I have not even got any cards yet, and might not get any Kobold cards.

What I do know is that there is more options to try out than any 2-3 kobold characters could make use of. Not even counting all the other feats you might want to stick on a kobold. So I'll have to wait until #1, I get a card and #2, a kobold idea turns into a character that beats me on the head until I play him (or her).

I was under the impression fly-by was a move action + a standard action whereas charge is a full round action ?

There there may be some leeway to partial charge ? I do not have time to look it up but I suspect the two abilities will not mesh together that well.

be careful there, "fly by" does NOT negate AoO as "ride by" does

Fly-by Attack does have two advantages over Spring Attack:
1. the prerequisites are easier to satisfy. There's no other feats required, only having a fly speed.
2. It allows you to take a standard action in the middle of your move, not just an attack. So, it allows you to cast a spell, or use Manyshot, or activate a wand, unlike Spring Attack or Shot On The Run.
