I have limited time (both in campaign and real life) to play my kobold PC. I don't want to end up in a mod with extremely unfriendly setup for kobolds. You show up, you make a skill check (diplomacy, bluff, disguise, etc.), you fail, you fail to get in, you fail the mission, here's your AR, 50XP for roleplaying, thanks for playing.

So I'm looking for core mods that are friendly (or at least doesn't hate) kobolds. Any recommendations? I already know about COR6-11 Return to Storm Tower, which would have been a riot to play with kobolds. Any other mods?

Thanks!

I think it will depend a lot more on your DM and players than the mod. I played 4 mods with my Kobold at GenCon (1 Verbabonc and 3 Core), 2 with another Kobold. Nobody gave a darn that I was a Kobold, I had to make no disguise attempts and most everyone was simply ammused when I claimed I was a Halfling with a skin condition.

After all the anti-Kobold sentiment on these boards, it was nice to find out this seems to be just a vocal minority. YMMV.

I've played a kobold in a Duchy intro at Dragonflight and GHR 1 at PAX. I had no trouble with NPCs in either case except for me and a gnome PC being called "children" by the main NPC in one. The players all rolled with it and had no trouble, and me and the gnome were the closest members of the party. (I took my kobold to be too "sheltered" to know anything about any of the "softskin" races, and the gnome was apparantly a fairly open minded sort willing to set racial prejudices aside.) I had a human party member at PAX spend fifteen minutes insulting my character at the start of a mod, only to start begging and saying "I love you, man" and such when the fighting started (being as I was the party's only healer).
I hope none of the mod-writers are so callous as to write in stuff that will remove kobold PCs from the mission, though it can be okay to force them to skip out on certain scenes. I've seen mods where you can't get into a part of the investigation if you aren't wearing a courteirs outfit or the like, forcing obstinate druids and such to sit out for a bit and rejoin the party afterwards; I wouldn't hold it against a DM for flat out refusing access to that scene to a kobold, however well dressed..
If the mod-writers are reasonable, that still leaves you with the DMs decision making authority to work against you.. so just only play your kobold with DMs you trust to try and make the game fun over being overly strict with their interpretation of what makes "sense".
