08-20-07, 04:17 PM Everyone is always making fun of kobolds... calling them weak, irrelevant, even (gasp) comical. Hardly the way a self-respecting monster wants to be treated. The kobolds must have prayed to their gods (gods not being weak, by definition) to bring retribution down upon the campaign world. Alas, kobolds are not very smart, and now they are so screwed too.

Obviously the circle knew LG was coming to an end before they released the dirty little mongrels into the campaign. My only assumption is that they completely intended for kobolds to ruin the game!

But, because these boards are modded, I'll tell you that we KOBOLD PLAYERS didn't ruin this campaign. If anything, your bull-headed, short-sighted, racist opinions did. But...that's just what I think. :)

It may actually be possible for a new player to LG, that has only played barely enough C596/597 mods to get a Kobold card to retirement by the end.

With adaptables you should be able to get higher than 8. Retiring a kobld will however take some effort.

FR manages to be stupid without being fun.

I regularly criticised LG for being a bit staid and medieval focussed but FR is just random.

I don't think it's public knowledge whether 4e kobold PCs will be possible, but I'm guessing yes. Making them in an RPGA campaign is another question entirely.

The cards will be valid in future campaigns that say they are valid. Much as Xen'drik allowed all of the Mark of Heroes cards, and both LG and Xen'drik allow a fraction of each others cards to be usable, you can probably expect some of the older cards to be explicitly allowed in the next campaigns that come along.. guessing which ones is pure speculation though at this point.

I have read in one post in the 4e threads that the races might have different names for flavor but will have the same stats etc. I would have to go dig for that quote for you though. It specifically referenced the Dwarves

Sun elf = grey elf
Moon elf = elf
one of the others = wood elf I think

wonder if the last one is snow elf.

It's all the same with different packaging.

How come my dwarves and humans are stuck with all the same racial adjustments. Stupid elves. (and halflings...ok we've had tallfellows and stouts forever, but still. Why do they get the elvish and dwarvish cheese just for being short?)

You can make level 8 THIS year. Leaving 8 months of unlimited TU play should conceivably get you close to retirement...if there are enough mods out there.

You can make level 8 THIS year. Leaving 8 months of unlimited TU play should conceivably get you close to retirement...if there are enough mods out there.

There are enough modules, if you don't have to work for a living and yet can afford to travel to a lot of regions for about 3 months.

I think I worked out that one convention a weekend would get a character from first to retirement in about 3 months (it was in an argument about whether we needed time units).

If you look at Warhorn, there is a convention nearly every weekend somewhere....

Sadly I have to work for a living. And also have far too many characters....so I will shoot for more modest goals.
