| Howie2302-01-07, 02:37 PM | Britt, If I'm understanding from another thread, we might see an LGCS draft next week. At one point, you had said there might be an overview/outline of the items that were changing around now (Feb 1). Is that still going to happen, or is all deferred to next week? David |
| Britt02-01-07, 04:29 PM | Next week is the plan. The outline will be released at the same time, not early. The outline of changes is just because of the heavy rewriting that is happening; highlighting changes in text doesn't work with this version. |

| Britt02-06-07, 06:48 PM | The draft PDF has been sent in to the WotC web guru. I can't promise a time, but based on his past performances, you should be able to get to it some time tomorrow. The draft LGCS is being accompanied by a Dispel Confusion addressing a few of the items in the draft. |

Certainly last year's stickies should be removed.... |

I know we have our disagreements but I want to take this moment to say thanks for letting us know what was going on. |
| solbergb02-07-07, 02:00 AM | Yeah. This is good communication Britt. I feel like we're the kid "Are we there yet" in the back of the car sometimes, but I like to think that our eagerness to read it shows that we care. Even if we sometimes act like 8 year olds. |
| Mithreinmaethor02-07-07, 04:10 PM | Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Of course it wont get posted until like 5 minutes before I have to go to work. |
| Britt02-07-07, 06:04 PM | It's up now. |
| LachlarlanIII02-07-07, 06:06 PM | I'm already looking over it! :D |
| copper_wyrmling02-07-07, 06:09 PM | Yay! :cloud9: Thanks for the tip Britt! (goes off to help crash the RPGA site) And again, thanks for the amount of communication you've been doing since getting onto the Circle, it's been really good to feel that comments from players are being read and considered. Even if I disagree with the eventual decision, at least I can feel that you and the other Circle members heard my arguments before deciding the other way. Looking forward to meeting you at DDXP! |
| Aremedis02-07-07, 06:18 PM | I'm looking over the document, and for the most part I like what I'm seeing, but where is this outline of changes? edit: nm, i found it in the discussion thread. |

You make it sounds as if we did not listen before Britt came on the Circle ;) Pieter Sleijpen RPGA Living Greyhawk Circle Member The Splintered Suns |
| JamesMaissen02-08-07, 04:21 AM | You make it sounds as if we did not listen before Britt came on the Circle ;) Pieter Sleijpen RPGA Living Greyhawk Circle Member The Splintered Suns While I'm sure that you always did, most of it was (and is) behind closed doors. So when a ruling comes down after being laboriously discussed it's old hat to you but for everyone else it's out of the blue. Thoughts that you have dismissed (and probably would not wish to go through again) are naturally brought up (just as they likely were behind closed doors). A forum where only the circle (or circle and triads) could post but that could be readable by all interested parties I think would be a very helpful medium for disseminating material that is being discussed and considered. That way when things (like the change to remove Polymorph) happen they are not drastically surprising the playerbase. While it would certainly generate more chatter on other boards and groups, it would remove the 'sticker shock' of changes as well as pre-emptively explain the thinking behind the new ruling. I know (atleast for myself) that when I hear the thinking behind rulings it always makes them easier to understand and accept (even when I disagree with those reasonings and goals). Anyway, it's a thought, James |
