Does this still give you blindsight? I remember some kind of errata with this spell or something.

the Spell Compendium version has:

blindsense 30-ft with 5 or more ranks,

blindsight 15-ft with 12 or more ranks

the "outdated" Complete Adventurer version has:

blindsense 30-ft with 5 or more ranks

blindsight 30-ft with 10 or more ranks.

so it has been decreased slightly but still a good spell.

Thanks. Blindsight still rocks. This is a great spell to have up and extended.

I believe they also changed which classes have it on their spell lists.

I know they moved it off the sorc/wiz list: I knew an arcane trickster with max ranks in Listen who was rather unhappy about that (sure, Listen is still a very useful skill, but ATs have a lot of other useful skills and he would've put some of those points elsewhere except that he wanted blindsight).

Where would this errata be found ?

He shouldn't be that unhappy - 2 levels of Unseen Seer gets it right back...

Would you really take that over Grave Strike?

This was back at the Spell Compendium revision - rather a long time before Unseen Seer was introduced. I believe he's now either L14 or L15 (he was L14 when I last played with him in January), so not really an option, sadly.

I'd take both :)

how?
At level 2 Unseen Seer you only get one spell.

Assuming you stick to only 2 levels. I like Unseen Seer 7/Spellsword 1/Arcane Trickster 2 as the prestige class levels for an 'arcane trickster' type.

actually - the number of times a rogue is defeated by concealment is quite comparable to the number of times undead defeat him, and imbue with spell ability can fix the undead problem but not the concealment problem.

Blindsight rocks very hard for rogues and others who do precision damage.

The +4 to your listen check the spell provides is also nice, and one reason choosing between it and "embrace the wild" in the levels where you have 5+ ranks in listen but less than 12 is tough - well...at least for us humans who don't get lowlight normally.
