If enough of us demand it, who knows?... Yes, I know it's been demanded before, and I know what the response has been, but I'm sure there's no harm in demanding it again and again and again.... While it would be cool if the actual pages were reprinted, I'd be very happy with just the text (plus whatever tables, etc., are necessary). A .pdf file would be nice too, it wouldn't have to be published in print form. Thoughts? |

| Greyson02-01-06, 10:08 AM | While I think it is only a dream for us, I'll certainly speak up for a compiled Living Greyhawk Journal. Paizo had a few issues #0 to #5 available at its Web site - but I bet most are long gone. But a trade paperback with LG articles would be awesome. I have all of them as single issues. But dang, it would be great to have one book to flip through if I need to look up the Knights of Holy Shielding article or Denizens of the Bright Lands, etc. Ah, to dream... |
| Mike Czaplinski02-01-06, 11:16 AM | Alas, it will never happen. The reason (as has been mentioned in the past when the subject has come up) is that WOTC/Paizo/Whoever only had initial publication rights to the material in the LGJ, not reproduction rights. This is rather the same reason that old & retired LG adventures will never be released, since after the initial appearance the rights for them reverts to the authors. There is also the added wrinkle that, at this point, a lot of the material is not v3.5 compliant, and might need extensive re-writing/editing to bring it up to current standards. So, my advice would be to haunt eBay or other sites and try to snap up the old LGJ's whenever you can. MikeC |
