I wonder how a LG sister campaign would work, where the characters were members of evil organizations like Vecna cults of Iuz's army, and they spent their time helping their efforts and fighting good guys. There could be some kind of interaction between the campaigns, although direct player vs player would have to be prohibited to keep the game in good spirits. What do yall think? Would it be a possibility, although improbable? I personally would love to see a table with a couple undead players and a negative-channeling cleric as the healer.

As RPGA seems to strongly discourage the play of evil PCs, I don't think you'd ever see this as an official RPGA campaign.

you meant "dark sister" :P

i don't think it would work to well, the NPCs in the most modules are build to doom. and the majority of prestige classes is aiming at good or at least neutral characters, i doubt a party of undead would like to confront a medium fine tuned radiant servant of mighty cheese.

yea, i regret it, i like some of my NPCs quite well :D

the xendric's expedition setting seems to allow evil alignments, i have no idea how the thing is running.

ps: some players i know would take this as an excuse for maximum selfishness as in chaotic evil or even neutral evil, not a good option in a team play ;)

A bunch of people I know actually built Xen'drik evil characters, and our reason for adventuring together and working as a party was that we were trying to spread the true faith of the Dark Six. We even had a bard going Evangelist with us. The rest of us were his bodyguards/potent conversion instruments (convert or I turn you into a toad!). We had a Favored Soul for healing, he was of course a complete zealot because he was actually touched by the gods we were promoting.

Evil doesn't mean I stab you in the back. It doesn't even mean being a selfish cruel :censored: to people you like or your party members. It does mean you work for the advancement of evil and generally don't care if someone in your way gets hurt. Remember even Hitler was nice to his mother.

I think this was covered in a Full Frontal Nerdity strip but an evil campaign doesn’t really have to be different then a regular campaign.

You still can't just run around killing the town guard, you still have to bow to people who are more powerful then you. Monsters and traps don't really care what your alignment is, things like that. You still need to work hard, quest and adventure to complete your larger goals.

Just have to beat people in the head that by evil campaign you mean that you have objectives and goals that are opposed to what is "good" in the world and not a green card for everyone to become serial murderers. And that's a philosophical debate right there. Good and evil are strictly points of view on different matters to make a very broad generalization.

Saying that I would love to play a couple of mods where we were on the aggressive side of a war or a conflict instead of the defensive side, but that might be better left for a home game or one of the other RPGA campaigns then Living Greyhawk. The PCs in Greyhawk are supposed to be the heroes and we've got pleanty of evil to fight. :)

Evil tends to be more proactive. They set out to do bad things which makes for harder mods.
It might be interesting but I can't imagine it working. A mature group of players can pull it off but there are far, far, far too many immature jerks with poor social skills in the hobey for it to work. Too many people who'd justify selfish or jerkish behaviour as "just playing my alignment" for it to fly. Too many people who ruin enough games while playing chaotic neutral characters to let them play legitamate bad guys.

NO EVIL CAMPAIGNS!!!!! EVER!!!!!

Just end up with a bunch of people at the table looking at how to screw each other over and too many people let that carry over into normal games. Its amazing how many people I know love to make their characters into *******s.
