| Redfist11-06-07, 05:09 PM | I'll have a new kid born in April so I want to get an action packed long weekend regional con and hopefully get no sleep while playing midnight madness games til my eyes bleed sometime next year in January or February. Oh yeah... and meet new people. :) Does anyone have recommendations? I live in Phoenix so ideally, I'd like to target something not NYR and not NMR (I can get those here). Thanks |
| RtrnofdMax11-06-07, 05:29 PM | DnD Experience is in Arlington, VA at the end of February. That sounds like it fits the bill. I have never been, but I can't imagine there won't be a good selection of LG mods to be had. |

I have never been, but I can't imagine there won't be a good selection of LG mods to be had. Unfortuantely, as one of the "big" cons, I believe that DDXP only allows regionals in the "regional fiesta" slot...otherwise, you're limited to Cores and a Core Special in the other slots (and I'm not sure that they'll be offering enough of those to let you play LG each and every slot). Given that, DDXP may not be the kind of con that the poster's looking for. Winter War 35 (http://winterwar.prairienet.org/) will be in Champaign, IL (about 2 hours south of Chicago) on February 8-10. In past years, they've offered a good assortment of Verbobonc regionals (and maybe some VTF metaregionals). The location may not be easy for you to get to, however....it likely means connecting to a regional flight out of Chicago, or driving down from O'Hare, but the CIRCA folks (the local RPGA group that sponsors the RPGA portion of Winter War) are great. I went last year, and had a blast. |
| Redfist11-06-07, 06:20 PM | I've been to Winter Fantasy before. It's primary a CORE type convention. Winter War sounds like a possibility. Hmm.... :) |
| Nerax11-06-07, 06:54 PM | I am not sure if this is to late for your time schedule but ConnCon is a great Bissel con that is happening the end of March. I am sure that they will be offering all of the year 7 Bissels and Sheldomar Valley mods. |
| Redfist11-06-07, 07:37 PM | Thanks for the info, but that's probably too late. Our due date is April 5th ish. |
| Ancillary11-06-07, 09:30 PM | I like to go to a Con over new years. I live in GA but last year since huneycon in FL did not go off I just looked at Warhorn and picked winter in the westlands in Witchita. It was great fun, they had tons of Dyvers mods that were pretty good overall. In fact I may end up going this year as well. |
| Greyson11-06-07, 10:05 PM | Theocracy by the Bay - Pale adventures. Browse through Warhorn to see what the offerings are. Don (Greyson) Nyrond Triad |

Thanks Furyondy features two options for you in early 2008: -Pandemonium Frost, the last weekend of January 2008, will feature a regional premiere, MANY regional replays, and a non-access interactive. Detroit area. -Marmalade Dog, mid-March 2008, offers two regional premieres, replays, and a (probably) access interactive. Both will likely offer many midnight madness options, although they will likely not be sanctioned by the conventions themselves. |
| Hurricane11-07-07, 08:14 PM | February 8-10th in Houston, TX is OwlCon. Excellent Bandit Kingdoms regional convention. Lots of players & mods. Scary interactive with lots of direct Triad participation. I travel to this convention every year from the Yeomanry. Hurricane |
