| Zakharan, Al'Mullah06-11-04, 05:35 PM | Hi Everyone I am trying to help out a buddy who is taking a stab at writing his first LG event. I am looking for any tools or docs that he may find helpful. I remember seeing a while ago a type of template or format for LG events. It looked like a regular LG event with a cover page all the info on animals and APLs and the Moon phase that we find at the beginning of all the events then it went to stuff like sections for Box Tex to be put in and it had numbered encounter headdings but with nothing filled in and samples of stat blocks and so on and a few Apendixes headdings and all the wrap up stuff at the end for XP and GP. It looked like a event layed out that needed everything filled in. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If you do than do you know where I can find it? Do you know if it is in 3.5 format now? Also if any of you have any suggestions of Docs you think my buddy will find helpful I would really appreciate hearing about them or better yet getting them sent to me off list. Thanks everyone for your time. |

Personally I would suggest your friend starts with an intro module instead of a full blown regional. That's how I started and I can say you learn a lot by 'taking it easy' in the beginning and only worrying about APL2 I know there are several regions out there that would require Y4 intro modules (hint, hint):D S.H, Naerie webslave |
| Lagrange, Baron de Banville06-12-04, 02:35 PM | I suggest your friend contacts his triad first! They can provide him with any tools that are necessary for writing a regional module. Though there is a generic template for modules, a lot of regions (or meta-regions) use individual tailored sections... And they can tell him, if his work is appriciated. A lot of regions already have all there slot for this year filled up. And of course all regions have a plot-line in which adventures should fit in! 'till we meet in the Adri... I should have Splintered Suns template here somewhere....:) btw, what is the situation in Adri at the moment? Are you getting all your regionals out this year? S.H, Naerie Webslave. |
