I just started a LG campaign and I have to admit that all things did not go well. I really felt as though the PC's (and thier gm :) ) were dropped into the middle of things. We really did the best we could and amazingly enought the PC's survived, but I was hoping that someone might suggest what scenarios would be best to start with.

Generally the best way to get started in LG is to play the introductionary scenarios for your region as these will be designed for 1st level PCs and should contain a taste of the setting too for the uninitiated.

I'm from a seperate region so have no info on their regionals unfortunately.

I'd also suggest checking out their regional yahoogroup at:

and see what people think. Generally skipping the core scenarios until you're upto speed is advised to avoid the snorkeling hydras that lie in wait :D

I to am from veluna (Dayton, OH) and I too recently started (in Mar I think). I found that playing the intro mods was quite useful to "get the feel" of LG, and having a couple of cons in quick succession helped a lot.

I'd say there are 1 and 2 halves distinct 'concentrations' of LG in Ohio. Warren, Columbus, and Dayton. If you join the veluna yahoo group and ask around I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. Casey seems to organize gamedays in Columbus every other weekend or so and there seem to be opportunities in Warren almost every weekend.

Unfortunately, I'm deployed to Iraq at the moment but I'm looking forward to "getting back into it" this fall.

Good Luck,
