| JohnduBois06-21-05, 02:15 PM | Because the campaign made a full conversion to 3.5 rules. The builder book items, classes, and spells were replaced by those in the Complete books, which are fully compatible with the new rules. |

The builder book items, classes, and spells were replaced by those in the Complete books, which are fully compatible with the new rules. But there were a lot of items that weren't "converted" in the Complete series. I'm just curious if there's a solid mechanical reason that I should not use those items in my personal 3.5 game. |

I would double-check the prices and mechanics though -some effects may have different power levels (and/or synergies) in 3.5 |

I'm just curious if there's a solid mechanical reason that I should not use those items in my personal 3.5 game. Certain powers and abilities have changed, so you would need to update any item that was altered in that way, otherwise you'd have mechanics issues... Other than that, there's no reason to not use them in your home game if you don't want to...They're not allowed in Living Greyhawk because they're no longer 3.5 compliant, but you can update them on your own for a non-LG campaign... |
