I would like to propose inclusion in the blurb of some mechanism for identifying when a mod steps outside of campaign standards on the subjects of PvP play (lethal or non), graphic gore, and similar content issues that violate the writing and campaign standards of authorship and play.

These mods are out there. We choose to play the campaign based upon expectations of what we will experience. If the content is going to trample those expectations, let's communicate that so that everyone can have a more enjoyable experience by giving us the ability to self-select our participation in such events.

Dyv5-08 "Casualties of War." This module doesn't "go out of bounds," but it does contain mature themes and I would not suggest children under 13 play it without parental supervision:

Cor5-17 "Times Tide on Bright Sands" has some thematic elements that if not conveyed correctly and with restraint contain the potential to "go out of bounds."

PVP options: Possibly, although I'll note that I've never seen a mod require this and I've seen more than a couple situations (one in a mod I wrote) where the PCs chose to attack each other without the mod requiring it.

Graphic Gore: I disagree. This can easily be handled at the individual table level. DMs are not required to read the boxed text verbatim, and can paraphrase if they find it appropriate for whatever reason. Changing graphically gory boxed text to, "Well, let's just say it's pretty nasty" is easy, so this issue doesn't require attention from already overworked volunteers. COR5-17 Time's Tide on Bright Sands is a fine example of this. I ran this adventure for an under-13 (or he looked close enough). The "thematic elements" inherent in the flavor text, as well as some especially big words, were omitted or altered entirely. Nothing graphic or inappropriate in the mod is required.

The only way I see to reasonably require something in the blurb is sexually explicit or similarly "non-paraphrasable" content that is inherent to the plot, and I'd guess that content of that severe a nature would not be allowed in this campaign in the first place.
