| fletch13701-19-07, 02:38 PM | I mistimed my joining of the RPGA and missed out on the Bright Sands mini-campaign (well, the first half of it, anyway). It's a shame, too, 'cause the whole idea sounded awesome. I love the concept of mini-arcs like that. Are there any plans for another mini-campaign in LG? |

| chesspiece01-19-07, 02:53 PM | Ask and ye shall... wait for it a bit longer. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/lgcn/20061205a 2007's arc is Castle Greyhawk Ruins (starting in May). There may also be an Adaptation of the super-adventure Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk (in stores Aug 2007). http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/dndacc/109257200 4 adventures are announced; all scheduled for 2007; all playable at APL2 (the last one is 2-8); each one is ~4-rounds in length; retiring end of 2008. The first adventure is limited to 1st-level PCs. There might be some special PC creation rules if you start a new one for the arc. |

| gomeztoo01-19-07, 03:29 PM | Only new or 1st-level characters can play in Greyhawk Ruins. (That is the AR for the first adventure must appear in your stack before you reach 2nd-level). If you create a new character for the arc, you can choose the Domain of Greyhawk as your home region. It's a pity that you can't move another PC to Greyhawk City. My PC Clover would LOVE to live there). |
| CrystalBlue01-19-07, 05:05 PM | Clover? What is he/she? And yes...please let us utilise Complete Scoundrel and Cityscape. I'll so give people kudos if that happens. :D *hugs his kobold plushie* |

Bright sands wasnt as awesome as it could have been because (presumably to make it more playable by mainstream PC's) a lot of the regional flavor in terms of climate and terrain was cut back to the point all you needed was a scroll of endure elements and some water sacks in your hewards. Nevertheless it was fun and well worth doing. |

Encounters in sand were virtually non existant. Nevertheless it was still great fun (you got to fight lots of funky desert critters) and well worth doing. |

| gomeztoo01-23-07, 10:06 AM | Clover? What is he/she? She's is my 'Greyhawk City' PC. A rich kid who spends her time in beteen (And imost of the time during) scenarios shopping for the newests fads. She received a Greyhaw City-flavored invite which she plans to cash in on - as soon as she hits 7th lvl, which will be a while... :P As much as I have plethora of ideas for a Ruins of Greyhawk PC, I'd really like it if I could move her to Greyhawk (and utilize the local flavor) instead. |

There as a lot more in Sandstorm (and the Bright) than heat. And even the heat dangers were often simply not used at all, rather than used, but easily circumvented. |

Flaywinds, sandstorms, 'quicksand' of sorts. |

Heat dangers where actually used in the few Bright Sand adventure I run, it is just that the adventure refers to the appendix and leave it up to the DM. Since all the time I ran it the PCs included a cleric, and made sure all the PCs were protected by an endure elements or where wearing the protective clothing from Sandstorm. At that point bothering with it becomes moot, and merely distracts from the adventure. I can't say much on terrain. I think that most cores leave terrain too much up to the DM and I haven't run all that many Bright Sand adventures, so I will take your word for it ;) |
