| Shieldhart9101-15-07, 01:29 PM | So my main character has mounted combat, and I've heard a variety of things. Aside from being apart of my character, what about this light warhorse should I be worried about? Someone has told me that I should have ARs for the warhorse...it sounded ridiculous, so I thought I'd consult the good people of the Wizards RPGA board. Am I missing something? The LGCS confused me. |

Write it on your character sheet, and make sure you pay for it. That said, it's not a bad idea to have a CHARACTER sheet for it, it's reasonable to assume that it will have to make a jump check, will save, etc. in the future, and you want to be prepared for it. If the warhorse is something obtained through the leadership feat, some kind of special cohort, then you treat it like any other cohort, as far as I know. |

The LGCS confused me. there is nothing wrong with a mounted character. BUT any kind of warhorse is NOT electable as a druid's animal companion. D&D is not quite clear about the tricks and abilities of animals, especially the "trained for war" or armor proficiency. mounts are sometimes not capable of joining you on every adventure and everywhere. ciao martin m. |

| kenobi6501-15-07, 05:46 PM | Yup...the only reason your mount would need its own ARs is if it were being treated as a separate character (fundamentally, if your mount is also a cohort). "Normal" mounts are fundamentally treated as equipment. The paladin's special mount is a class feature. While, as others have said, it's a very good idea to have a separate stat sheet for your mount, it's not a separate character. |

It would actually be a huge BENEFIT if your warhorse got AR's .. I mean a horse that earns its own gp, gets favors and has item access seperate from the rider ?? I want one !!!!! gimme gimme No of course it doesnt have an AR that is just silly :) |
