Suppose a player picks "Mystic Theurge" as said spellcasting class, recursively gaining a spellcasting level for both a divine and an arcane spellcasting class. 1. Would Wee Jas strike such a character down out of hand? In other words, is the above scenario possible? 2. Assuming #1 is possible, what would happen if the character's combined geomancer levels and mystic theurge levels exceeded 10? In other words, is 10 the most levels of dual arcane/divine spellcasting you can get no matter what? Or could you make a Wiz 3 / Clr 3 / MyTh 4 / Geo 10 and end up caster level 17 for both wizard and cleric spells at level 20? 3. Assuming #1 is possible, does Geomancer count as both an arcane and a divine spellcasting class? 'Cause if so, recursion allows you to get caster level 20 in your original casting classes with just two levels of Geomancer. For example, a Wiz 3 / Clr 3 / MyTh 1 / Geo 1 takes a level of Geomancer: Geo => MyTh => (Geo + Geo) => (MyTh + MyTh) => (Geo + Geo + Geo + Geo) => ... you get the idea. Strike #3, even the most munchkin-headed of players would agree it's not allowed. We'll just assume a little implied "non-geomancer" before the "spellcasting class" in the bold text above. Somebody should put a ruling on this in an FAQ somewhere. Remember, hate the game, not the Munchkin! :) |

Classes that add to another classes spellcasting abilities cannot in and of them selves be added to. You can however have a half dozen classes all add to your wuzard class for example. |
