There seems to be a new PrC (ok, not that new as it is just re-printed from the Journal #4) on the RPGA Main page.

The link is here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/lgpg/20060711a).

One question: Can players can take this PrC now or must they get AR access or other documentation?

You will need campaign documentation. Silent Ones are not listed as 'core' in LGCS and are therefore 'limited'. The prestige class has been around for long time and has always been on limited list, mainly because it is very much tied to Sheldomar Valley areas, much like Mask of Johydee is tied to old Iron League states.

There's also the Darkhagard and Vetha (both requiring Rhennee as the PCs race) for those regions in the vicinity of the Nyr Dyv, the 'Glaive of Azharadian' (possibly specific to Onnwal), Knight of the Chase, and Knight of the Watch/Dispatch

The Silent Ones Prestige Class is only available to members of the Silent Ones meta-organization.
This organization is only available to PCs from the Sheldomar Valley meta-region, with additional limitations, including Triad approval for PCs from some regions, and specific approval from the POC for elements of background, PC race, class, and intent. (No reformers or infiltrators seeking unspeakable power need apply. Likewise if you intend to engage in general non-arcane caster multi-classing.)

(Yes, I do several things.)

Oh, as a side note:
That is a direct reprinting from the original article. Unfortunately, due to the quirks of writing prestige class requirements, especially way back before the 3E rules were generally available, the spellcasting requirement is technically wrong. Right now a sorcerer or bard couldn't qualify for the class without the arcane preparation feat. That was not the intent. (It is supposed to be an organization for sorcerers, with some bards, and a few wizards allowed in on the side.) It should read:
The ability to spontaneously cast arcane spells, or to prepare arcane spells without a spellbook.

I have reported this, and requested it be officially changed for LG play.

I noticed some other minor corrections that might need to be made:

Both the prerequisites section and the class skill section refer to "Knowledge (arcane)" The correct name of the skill is Knowledge (arcana).

"Language: Must speak Ancient Suel" I don't have my Greyhawk reference material here at work, but I thought that the language was properly called Ancient Suloise.
