A player may have more than one character in the campaign. A player may play exactly one PC at a table. A PC with the Leadership feat may, sometimes, also play a cohort. Or does it have to be 4-6 players, period? There must be 4-6 players, each with one character. The only exception is with cohorts, where a 4-5 player table may have 5-6 characters (including the cohort(s)) at the table. There may never be more than 6 characters. A PC must be sixth level to take the Leadership feat. David |

| Howie2306-30-06, 04:09 PM | So if it is just you and 3 of your friends...no LG right? Right. I think some of the other RPGA campaigns may support 3 player tables. Simply from a logistical problem, 4-6 is problematic, whereas a campaign that was on a 3-5 player standard doesn't have the same problem. A bit of crossover from the other thread...this is also why you'll see rather strong encounters in LG. The EL system expects four players. LG is usually 5-6 players. The net result is that four player tables in LG tend to be pretty challenging, particularly if the party is playing up (at a higher APL). Four brand new characters should be playing intro mods, and still getting beaten up a bit...even APL2 is probably too strong for them....they'll likely see an EL5 encounter there...which they pretty much have no chance with. There are some non-RPGA campaigns that allow 3 or 7 person tables. *ALL* RPGA campaigns require 4 to 6 players who are all RPGA members for a table to be legal. It's part of the RPGA's General Rules (pg 6, under point #5 Participation). Patty |
