Of course, I will only sign if this is a non-binding petition.... I don't want to force Britt into anything, but I'd happily encourage him some more. :D

06-20-07, 10:52 PM Do they get to run the Core Special there? If so, yeah, I am writing the high APL portion of the Gencon special. I'm finishing off the mechanics today, then the fluff the next two days. I will say that I'm putting the "author is not out to get you" disclaimer at the beginning, like in Madhouse :) I think it might be necessary.

Otherwise, I don't usually write unless I have some cool idea I want to try. My other mods weren't fantastic, IMO, though some liked them. Madhouse was far more popular, and consistently so, than I expected. I can't do another like that, but if I come up with some cool idea, I'll try to make it a Core :)

Oh I know, I am not in ANY way criticizing the Nyrond meta region in that post, as stated, it was more a joke about moving.

Just miss some Iuz action is all. (And having a Perrender PC with lots of cool Perrender stuff he never gets to use...)

If I were you, I'd make your way to Cairns around the beginning of October... I hear that Mr. Madhouse will have a very Special kind of Core waiting for you there...

As for SRDU in Cairns, I REALLY want to go, and am hoping to, but ofc not sure if it will happen. There was talk of a Roadtrip, but fuel will end up costing as much as a plane ticket so plane will probably be the best option.

The primary issue is timing. There are work considerations lol, trying to work around them.

This would be my highest concern. Britt is already overworked as it is. Asking him to write core mods in addition to his Circle duties seems like asking him to fail. :( I'm delighted that Britt is staying active on the boards and writing the core special but it's kind of like the proverbial duck gliding serenely across the lake with his feet hidden underneath kicking like heck. Volunteering for the RPGA is about four times as much work as it appears to be.

As an author whose mods are reviewed by Britt and his foul minions (and who stays in regular contact with other authors in my region) I can tell you that the turn around time for mods submitted to his "office" is beginning to grow longer and longer. I believe that this is definite cause for concern.

On the other hand, writing a mod can be a fun experience and may be invigorating.

All I ask is that Britt be the one to decide what he can and cannot do despite the demands of his adoring fans.

Even though i spent 90% of it in a pit being chased by my familiar, weasels are always hungry.
But it was excessively funny being semi-quiet and having the rest of the party not notice, mwha ha ha.
This mod totally needs a very good DM, or someone who really knows thier party. otherwise it could go terribly wrong.
