I believe there's a picture of him on the cover of the AD&D supplement called Iuz the Evil. =)

That does not look right. He is supposed to be an Ascended Half-Fiend.
Your link just shows an old man.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iuz

excerpt: "Iuz is variously called "The Old One" and "Old Wicked," among other aliases."

Now you know why :-)

Except that he's a demigod and can probably look like whatever/whomever he chooses. For example, he might appear to a bunch of northern barbarians in the guise of their deity, Vaatun, and convince them to rally for war against the enemies of Iuz...

If I remember correctly, Iuz often shows himself as an old man. He has another form, though I cannot recall it. I think I read this somewhere in Wikipedia, so your best bet is there.

"Whether Iuz is a human who has become demonic through the centuries, or whether he is a cambion (Orcus' offspring, some suggest), no mortal knows. He has been known to appear as an ogre-sized fat man with demonic features, reddish skin, pointed ears, and long steely fingers, and as a wrinkled old man scarcely five feet tall."

No picture with the entry. Also, I think, that in the original Temple of Elemental Evil, there were sections on Iuz and St. Cuthbert in the appendix.

I seem to recall that one of the issues of the Living Greyhawk Journal (after it began appearing in Dragon) had sketches of various Oerth personalities, one of which showed Iuz in his cambion personality.

EDIT: If you can get ahold of a copy, the issue in question is Dragon #290. "Window on the World", by Sam Wood -- Various pictures of the Flanaess including Ehlonna, Nerull, Geoffite Giant Killer, Amedio Suel, Iuz the Old, Halga, Althea, Kermin Mindbender, Null, Iuz and The Circle of Eight. This is the same issue that contains the "Death Knights of Oerth" article.

good stuff guys. I've been noticing on all these forums lately that wikipedia seems to be like a font of knowledge. Indeed, wikipedia does rock. Tis a font of useful knowledge.

I'll be darned if i didn't get to reading up on Greyhawk and now I'm in love with the setting. Just one person besides me to run it here and I really want to play.

That is correct. It also has black-and-white line drawings of both entities, I think. Iuz is in his "old man" aspect there.
