We recently had a player move to China and he joined us using his old Perrenland Character. (His RPGA address is still in perrenland) I had a webcam focused on the mapboard, I was wearing a microphone for him to hear me and had the sound plugged into some small speakers so everyone could hear what he said. We used openrpg program for his dice roles. This wasthis players first time doing this online and it went well We played "the fate of the Lina Gerstien" PER6-03 which has very involved combat and some good roleplaying. The mod took 4.5 hours and the player made significant contributes to gameplay. Final analysis, it's definitly do-able with 1 player on video conference. 2 shouldn't be that much more of a problem. Advice: make sure your map board has thick grid lines. The none markered grid lines were a problem for the player to see.(it could be i just have a super cheap ass vidoe camera:D ) |
