hullo, and help! I would like to join in on a LG campaign, but there are no RPGA events anywhere near where I live, in Guatemala, Central America. How do I go about joining in? Is there a way to play on line? Technically, I would be from the Geoff region, as Guatemala is not part of any other region.

Any help will be appreciated!!! Very Much:D

Yes, there's actually quite a lively online community. Most people looking for LG games download and install OpenRPG (which requires Python) and tend to form tables on the Blackstar server.

All COR adventures and adaptables are legal for online play. If Guatemala isn't part of any other region (and metaregion), then there's another region and metaregion that exists to encompass all those real-life regions without corresponding LG regions (though the name currently escapes me). If that's the case -- that you're not part of another regions -- then your regional and metaregional adventures would also be legal for online play with other players in the same situation (with a few stipulations).

You can find the OpenRPG files easily with a Google search (or likely with any browser search).

Look for the OnlineGameday and LGEuropeOnline Yahoo groups.

The region is Geoff, as the original poster stated.

I'm not sure how mobile you are. I know that it is about a 500 mile flight to Costa Rica, but I have seen games on the schedule for San Jose. While online games are okay, it's considered more fun to play with other people.

Also, in 2006, some people held a con in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico and another in Merida, Mexico this year. These are both closer to you and were probably organized over the internet. So don't forget to research the area that you can afford to travel to!

For that matter, you can always try to organize a gameday at a store near where you live. The upcoming Worldwide D&D Day is a great opportunity to get a free mod and some give-away items and teach more people to play. Then you can also try and sell them on the idea of starting some RPGA play.

Well, it's an idea...
