| amnuxoll07-16-07, 02:06 PM | I think that those who voluntarily give up their right to play a mod for the good of the campaign (examples: eat a mod, write a mod, or are a triad member) should be entitled to receive 1/2 xp and gp for that mod applied to one of their PCs. Vote yes or no. (Please take discussion to the other thread.) Summary (as of 19 July at 1:16pm EDT): Yes votes: 16 No votes: 17 Middlin' votes: 3 I'm going to stop counting now since I have a clear idea of where people stand (i.e., roughly split evenly). Thanks folks, for your answers. |

| Reylance07-16-07, 02:23 PM | I vote yes. It worked well for Living Jungle back in the day. |

| Howie2307-16-07, 02:44 PM | Vote yes or no. (Please take discussion to the other thread.) No. |

| KShaver07-16-07, 03:00 PM | No. |
| bitznarf07-16-07, 03:04 PM | Not the way that is described here. |
| Mattastrophic07-16-07, 03:40 PM | Not for authors and triads (they know what they're getting into); yes for eaters. -Matt |
| Genghis Cohen07-16-07, 04:41 PM | Yay |
| catsclaw07-16-07, 04:52 PM | No for authors or editors, abstain for eaters. |
| KarmaInferno07-16-07, 05:00 PM | Yes. Even for Triads and authors. They do a lot for the players. They should get something. -karma |
| Sieylianna07-16-07, 05:11 PM | I vote yes for everybody. Without authors, triad, circle and a legion of volunteers, there wouldn't be a LG campaign. Ed |
| Nerax07-16-07, 05:25 PM | Yes ;) |
| Grantor07-16-07, 05:50 PM | No |
| control freak07-16-07, 05:51 PM | yes but not in that way |
| Herrbard07-16-07, 08:06 PM | No (And my ratio of mods eaten to mods played is around 4.3 to 1). I like to judge. :) |
| _metz_07-16-07, 08:46 PM | No. (must everything be done because we are getting a reward? what happened to altruism? lets not Forget DMing is supposed to be fun...) |
| Lomiat07-16-07, 10:51 PM | No |
| Haro07-17-07, 12:08 AM | No (as an author and frequent eater) |
| LGMoses07-17-07, 12:30 AM | No as a permanent eater. That reward will be useless to anyone who eats mods and never play. Except maybe for my growing folder of LG characters that I'll never ever get to play. Ahhh the wonderful backstories :sigh: |
| JJeff07-17-07, 01:20 AM | Yes in someway that doesn't affect the character, like what I suggested in the other thread ("Decanter of Endless Stout" Mugs and Beholder stress balls). I agree with LGMoses' reason for not using Xp/gold: "That reward will be useless to anyone who eats mods and never play", but I still think people should be appreciated by RPGA in some way. Yes, most of us eaters are DM-ing cos we want to and cos we love it, but I know many good DMs who are afraid of eating modules just cos they wanna get some XP/gold for their characters and can't find someone to run it for them first. Maybe some other incentive at the side may grease the wheels... |

| _metz_07-18-07, 10:38 PM | I hope People are reading the first post on this thread. Instead of just responding with a yes to the title, of which everyone would. |
| Timlagor07-19-07, 12:35 AM | What do you imagine the point of this thread to be? |
| JJeff07-19-07, 12:56 AM | I think he's just surprised that so many people are saying yes to 1/2 xp/gold to the "eater" that he believes they must be not reading the first post and assumeing the pol is only about generally rewarding "eaters" I'm still for squishy beholders.... |
| JohnduBois07-20-07, 11:22 AM | I think that those who write or administrate should receive a reward from the RPGA that is not reflected in the game stats. However, I have no idea what that would be. People who eat mods should be rewarded with free food and favors by the players they eat the mod for (especially if they eat a mod with awesome rewards for their PC because the scheduled DM cancelled at 3 AM on gameday - not that I'm bitter or anything). However, they too should not receive in-campaign rewards. |
