| paigeoliver03-23-06, 04:50 PM | I have a very simple question about "YEO5-04 Prophecies of Ash". Is this a "killer" module? I am signed up for it at a convention this weekend. I was the first person to sign up at the table with my 6th level archer, and then everyone else who signed up behind me was 9th and 10th level. So it looks like I'll be playing it at APL 10. My archer is not exactly a pushover (she has 52 hit points, 64 if she rages), and has an attack bonus more inline with most 10th level characters anyway (halfling bonus, 20 dex, full BAB, weapon focus, and +2 weapon). I don't want any details about the module, I just need to know if I should be attempting to change my schedule. And no I don't care about the XP/gold penalty (that character has a 40 percent XP penalty already, so I am used to not getting much XP). |

But every once in a while I get stuck in the wrong situation or what not and start taking a pounding (I don't grapple well). Thats why I have a Barbarian level. |

Fly, greater invisibility, preferrably both for the final battle (from the player of a 6th level Order of the Bow Initiate Archer) |
| paigeoliver03-27-06, 02:09 AM | I played it at APL 10, had no problems and never took damage. It was a fun module. My character build and ability scores are very different from what you were guessing, and I have dex gauntlets. Only spent 8 points on dex initially, not 16. And I have weapon spec and a str bonus, so my damage is higher than you'd assume. I'm actually a fighter4/Barbarian1/Ranger2 now. It has a bit of an XP penalty and I has spent almost nothing on consumables during my career and bought that +2 upgrade on a half price favor, so I am much better equipped than you guessed as well. Had I been playing THAT build that you guessed then I would never consider playing up that far. I actually ended up making level 7 right before that module too. |
