| Arabian_Elf12-04-04, 06:36 AM | Hmmm... I was wondering if there was a 3.5 printing of the stats for the fullblade. If there isn't, which 3rd Ed version of the fullblade does LG use, the S&F version, or the newer (and more likely) version printed in the Arms and Equipment Guide? It's fairly big difference, since it does a d12 in S&F, and 2d8 :D in the A&E Guide. I was just wondering, as I've always hated the d12 version, a huge greatsword should actually do MORE than a normal one. Just makes sense. Arab. |
| Blueboy12-06-04, 12:16 PM | I am terrifically relieved to hear that there is a version of the weapon that makes sense. D12? D12?! For an Exotic Weapon Proficiency?! Now that I know they made it work, I wonder if the A&EG version is legal here in my home region of Nyrond. Can anyone help me out? I have a Rogue that carries a Greatsword simply for intimidation purposes, and I'd always intended to use the biggest thing I could find. A Fullblade seemed right, but it was actually WORSE than a standard Greatsword, so I couldn't justify it. |
| Arabian_Elf12-06-04, 03:09 PM | lol, I'm glad someone replied to my post... I was beginning to feel ignored. ;) The funny thing is, by 3.5 rules, the Fullblade SHOULD be a 3d6 weapon. Oh well. Perhaps someday they'll reprint it (unless they already have). |

For any weapon NOT in the PHB you have to have access to it and campaign documentation showing that access, namly an AR or meta-org documentation showing your character is a member. I sugguest e-mailing your Triad about the weapon. Mike |
| RWarehall12-06-04, 07:44 PM | This brings up a good question... I was just looking through the LGCS and I looked at the list of valid souces for the campaign and I do not see the Arms and Equipment Guide. That said, it quotes: "If something is not specifically named as useable from the following sources in this document then it cannot be used by players in the campaign. Additional books may be usable by authors only." Now, that said, I have AR's (some from this year) that give access to items and enhancements from this book. I would think the LGCS neglect of the Arms and Equipment Guide is an oversite, but a clarification may be in order. |

A&EG is limited to use by authors -- in other words, the people writing the scenarios (including the ARs). If access to an item is granted in the AR you receive after an adventure, that trumps the access rules in the LGCS, for that item. The LGCS limits what you can just go out and purchase, beyond what the ARs you've received allow you. |
| SgtHulka12-07-04, 06:28 PM | What about rules from the Arms and Equipment Guide? For example, I can buy a coach and several warhorses to drive it because it's listed in the Player's Handbook. But the rules for how it operates in a combat encounter are in the A&EG. So is it legal or not? |
| qstor12-09-04, 02:32 PM | Nope you can't buy a coach unless its on an AR :) A wagon might be in the PHB. I'm not sure. I've seen a sailing ship on an AR. Mike |

Mike Actually, A carriage is in the PHB, 100gp, you don't need AR access, as it is on Table 7-8...In fact, you don't need AR access for a Boat in 3.5 (it was on a different table in 3.0)...Anyone can buy a longship, sailing ship or even a Galley if they've got the cash... |
