Yes, before anyone even reads the questions, yes, I know I am weird. :D

Second, I realize the question is probably negative to most of these questions, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

I have a Cleric of Pelor, and besides the fact that I am cleric, is there anyway to get a Lantern Archon, as either a Familiar(perhaps with Improved Familiar Feat) or as Cohort(with Level-Adjustment factored in)? Are LA cohorts allowed?

Next question, suppose there was an NPC during an adventure, and at the end of the I had leveled enough to take the Leadership Feat, could I take said NPC as a Cohort? Would it be noted, that the NPC in question was a Cohort, as regards further adventures, or could I potentially run into a 'duplicate' in another module? Or would it just not be allowed at all?

Anyway, the questions are hypothetical as my Cleric is only level 2. But I am curious, and I like to plan long-term.

The short answer to both your questions is: "not unless you have campaign documentation allowing you to do so." Uusually via and AR or a metagroup, etc.

To expand on this. I have seen several AR's where you are specifically given the option of taken a specific NPC encountered as a cohort, follower, or improved familiar. This includes a norker, a pseudodragon, a modron, and a choice of several sylvan creatures (in a Yeomanry module). I've also seen a brown bear for druids/rangers. These are all specially noted so in the AR you receive at the end. If it's not noted in the AR, then they won't be interested.

Thats interesting. I'll have to be on the watch for them.

[Edit]Something occured to me, but wouldn't that leave open the possiblity that two people could have the exact same NPC cohort? Especially since, as I understand it, adventures are run multiple times for different groups.

Yep. Just one of those unusual situations where you just have to sit back, realize it's a game, and suspend your disbelief for the sake of the game.

Incidently, I've noticed that a lot more players are not bothering to take some of these, because the reward becomes so common it's almost amusing. For example, due to it's prescence in a metaregional, roughly one in every six players across the Eastern Coast has a certain (very cool, mind you!) intelligent item, which makes it so commonplace that it's rather depressing, actually.
