| Sect04-11-05, 09:31 PM | Hey, I'm Sect. I'm new, so don't hurt me. I have two questions that I would like to be answered before this Saturday, if it's no trouble. First, the Polyhedron issue that had announced the new arc had mentioned that, to become a Centaur, one must have a cert and a RPGA Rewards membership card. What exactly is a Rewards card? Second, for feats and special abilities dealing with mounts, if the character rode on a PC controlled Centaur, then would, say, the Wild Plains Outrider abilities apply to him, or the Ride check that can be used to negate damage to the mount? |

Second, for feats and special abilities dealing with mounts, if the character rode on a PC controlled Centaur, then would, say, the Wild Plains Outrider abilities apply to him, or the Ride check that can be used to negate damage to the mount? Well, the rewards card is what you get for signing up for the RPGA player rewards program. You can do that from the rpga page... As for the use of PCs as mounts, unless it's says something in Sandstorm, that's going to be something the Circle will have to rule on (the Centaur is going to create a lot of interesting rules situations)... If I had to guess, since the PC is willfull, I'd say you're not using your ride skill since you're just holding on and not actually directing your mount. As for PrC abilities, if it just has to do with you being mounted, I'd say it's good, but if it's you directing the mount, I'd say no...However, the rules don't even come close to touching that, so that's just my 2 cents... |
| Sect04-12-05, 04:17 PM | Well, the rewards card is what you get for signing up for the RPGA player rewards program. You can do that from the rpga page... There's the rub, though. Neither I (who have only been in the program for a month, despite playing RPGA for a year) nor my friend (who has been in the Rewards program for several months now) have recieved any cards since signing up. I know that there's supossed to be a special laminated card that you can get after twenty points, which my friend has the points for. Is that it? |

Pretty sure it is...I've received 3 so far I think (maybe 4)...Don't know why they keep sending me new ones...They're plastic...Not like they're wearing out... |
| pedr04-13-05, 07:28 AM | There's a new Campaign Sourcebook file on the Bright Sands arc - I think it'll be available on this site soon, or have a look at the livinggreyhawk Yahoo! group. It states categorically that a PC Centaur may not be used as a mount by another PC, nor (obviously!) may a PC Centaur have a mount. Hope that helps a bit! |
| Sect04-13-05, 08:05 AM | That does help, pedr. Thanks! Now why don't they mention that sort of thing earlier, I wonder... Now I'm very sad... |
| oroborous04-19-05, 11:42 PM | They're plastic...Not like they're wearing out... I made the mistake of carrying one of those new Rewards Cards in my wallet when I was gaming much more heavily and the numbers actually wore off of it. So I went back to using my old blue RPGA card that looks like a credit card and that seems to be good for some OG cred too  |
