| JohnduBois05-03-05, 10:04 PM | So here's the story: I would like to take my Centaur PC toward the Reaping Mauler PClass. However, one of the prerequisites for the class is Clever Wrestling, which requires the character to be Small or Medium. If I take Clever Wrestling while Medium, do I lose it when I become Large, or do I just become unable to use the feat's benefits (like a character with TWF who goes below 15 DEX somehow)? |

The real question here is this: does a feat count towards meeting a PrC prereq if you lose the ability to use it? This may be one that we need a ruling from the Circle on. |

While they are an Undeniably cool idea and I think it shows some really creative thought, the Circle might as well have sat down as said "I wonder how we can add a single element to the Campaign that will necessitate a ton of special rules and cause myriad arguments over interpretations"... :D |

I would think the same principal would apply here, if you lose the prerequisites for the prestige class, you lose the ability to use the prestige class. There is a second issue with reaping mauler, IIRC, the special requirement is to have pinned at least three creatures of a larger size than you. If you have increased in size to large, then you would need to have pinned three creatures of huge size, instead of merely large. Ed |

Ed It's actually having defeated 3 creatures of one size category or larger with your bare hands...Don't have to pin or even grapple, you just need to deliver a barehanded beatdown (and it doesn't have to be solo either)... Anyhoo, since Centaurs don't become large until 6th, large creatures would work for their first six levels (i.e., the opponent only needs to be larger when you defeat him)... |
