| Mystical_Tutor01-10-07, 08:50 PM | I looked around on this board but didn't see the answer to this. Probably meaning I should already know it, but I don't so I'll risk asking it. Red Hand of Doom is played in multiple 'parts' taking up about a years worth of TUs. Items appear on the ARs with the frequency "adventure". Is RHoD 'an' adventure or is it 5 adventures? Can I only buy this stuff on that AR + the next 3 or could I buy it on the next 3 ARs after the RHoD adventure is over? |

The Player consensus was that RHoD counts as 5 adventures (based on the 5 ARs). Specifically, the RPGA Rewards Cards should refresh after each AR is distrubited. Logically, this means that each of the 5 parts / ARs count as an adventure for the purpose of adventure access. I don't believe that any campaign administrators clarified it though. But that is how I intend to Judge the module with regards to Cards & Access. |

I've only played the first part thus far, but I find it odd that the Adventure Access thing is tough on people when they're pulling in a jillion gold an AR. I mean, if Part 2 is like playing 6 APL 6 Cores (which would make sense, although I have no way to verify it), that's like 5400 gold just for that part. It seems like that money would add up pretty quickly. |

It is a great module, I love playing it and it is like forcing myself to save up for several adventures, which is always hard to do. The money seems to be about APL 6 normal for the TUs spent. That seems right because you won't be able to do anything else with your toon for the equivalent of a playing year. I posted the question because I have never been able to find a good clean definition of "adventure" and I was hoping someone would point me to one. I have been in multi session adventures but this is the first time I have been in a multi session-multi part adventure...LOL. Thanks for your comments and if any one "official" can chime in I'd appreciate it. |
| JJeff01-11-07, 08:51 PM | Don't get me wrong. It's not that they can't purchase the items. It's just that they get the items and the gold as the story goes, not at the end of the adventure (or at least that's how I'm doing it) and they end up purchasing stuff during the adventure, not knowing that they have Adventure access items on their AR. After recieving their first RHoD AR, they may get the idea, though, but really, I think people would rather save up for other stuff or worry what's on AR 5 to save up for since you'll lose access of AR 1 at that point. |
