Hey guys,

Is it possible to have Prestige Classes available to characters in your region? For instance, in the new startup region of Ratik which I'm moving into?

Further, can suggestions for such be posted here?

each region's triad can pick x prestidge classes to grant meta-org access. Please discuss your request with the Ratik Triad and see what flavor they are going for in their region (and offer to create the meta org once you have regional triad approval). Without knowing more about the region, I have no idea what prestidge classes would make sense in their area. The county of urnst has alot of prestidge class access, but it was up to the triad as far as what was in or out...

Nono, I ment, can you write your own Prestige Classes and allow them in the Living Greyhawk campaign?

IE, Radient Munchkin of Minmaxia, a five level Prestige Class which has easy to meet prerequisites and improves every single one of your classes attributes with no drawbacks and even throws in a few cool extra features to boot.

...

I'm not bitter, I swear.

Anyway. Yeah. Sorry if I was unclear, but that's what I was asking. For Perrenland, an example Prestige Class might be "Pax Veteran", which gave full bab and bonuses to saves vs fear, knowledge (local) and speak language as class skills, bonuses when dealing with the Auszug or law enforcement, etc. Much how Perrenland currently has the 'Shamecrier' and 'Retcher' PrC's...

... I guess I might have accidently answered my own question. If Perrenland can have custom PrC's, then I guess Ratik can as well. Hooray!

There were a couple in the early years of the campaign, but they were a huge hassle because they had to go through R&D. I'm inclined to believe that you're never going to see one again.

There was also a Knight of the Watch prestige class which was being developed by one of the regions, but I don't know that it was ever finished.

It's my understanding that at least in the Sheldomar Valley, the Silent Ones and Knights of the Watch prestiege classes are available to members of the respective metaorg. However, I believe the KotW class is secret: you only know what the class benefits are if you're a Knight or judging a table with a member of the PrC.

Hang on a second. Perrenland has the Skamteguler and Rechter *meta-orgs*. They're not prestige classes, although they do have feat and skill prereqs. They don't even have particular PrCs associated with them.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I don't think the Perrenland meta-orgs set a useful precedent.

Yes there is indeed a Knight of the Watch, prestige class in the sheldomar valley..that was taken from published material, it is also a Meta-org as is the Seekers. The class is a secret until you actually attain a certain level in the KotW meta org. I am unaware of a "Seeker" PRC but one may exist as an option for people who advance in the meta org, if so it is a secret.

I don't think you will see any designer PRC's being made any time soon..

It is however likely you will see a plethora of meta-organizations that sprout up in the new Ratik region, and if you have a desire to add flavor to the game, that would probably be a decent place to start. Meta-orgs can give access to certain limited PRC's and can give skill bonuses and equiptment access.

perhaps a
an army and navy
A Dwarven organization
A shipbuilding guild
Woodsman of the Loftwood
some sort of spy network

all probably wil be represented in some form or another..

I know that in the county of urnst, some meta-orgs are only available to people that play particular modules; and the access can be pretty strange...

I know that in the county of urnst, some meta-orgs are only available to people that play particular modules; and the access can be pretty strange...Many regions that I have seen have MOs that work that way. For example, many thieves' guild MOs seem to have requirements along the lines of:
- Must meet an NPC member of the MO in play, and
- Your PC must be extended the invitation to join (usually involves not ticking off the thieves' guild, or that NPC, during the course of the mod)

or

- a PC at the table who already belongs to the MO must invite you and have it noted on the AR for that adventure that he extended you the invitation

For the latter, I've seen that some even have a time-limit for the invitation to be valid -- essentially, the invite is 'Adventure' access...
