I've never voiced an opinion on what should and shouldn't be included in the LGCS, so please excuse my ignorance on the proper way to propound this idea. In the Gazetteer, under the description of the Rhennee, it says that they speak their own language, Rhopan, that they never teach to non-Rhennee. I don't have it front of me, but I'm sure it's in there (or else in the LGJ#2). It has always bothered me that non-Rhennee can pick up the language for the same cost and with the same convenience as any other language. I'm not suggesting that the language be made Restricted or NPC-Only. But I wonder if there might be room in the new LGCS to clarify that only Rhennee PCs can learn the language. It's a small thing, but I think it adds a lot to the race's mystique. And I don't think that it would be any stranger than limiting Druidic to Druids alone. Thanks for reading. -FF |
