Shadowbane? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Me and my kid just agreed on two classes we'd be playing together in LG games: the Shadowbane Inquisitor and the Shadowbane Stalker. But I just found out that they are in the RESTRICTED list?

Someone can explain me why?

Also, are there adventures out there (cores) that will give us access to the classes someday? If so, does it happen only once every 5 years?!?

07-29-06, 09:45 PM Limited, not restricted. Most likely access is thought metaorganizations. (think I have seen them on one list, but don't recall which off the top of my head).

Thanks. My region's metaorgs are... hum... let's say, boring? They don't give access to PrC... They're just a way to spend TUs...

07-29-06, 10:46 PM Sorry to hear that, I suppose you could both request special Missions when you get near the right level to enter the PrCs.... but then you are again caught up with Triad Whim... Good luck to you.

That's what they are supposed to do. Unlike previously, any possible access comes to members through adventuring. For example. "Favor of the Church of Heironeous: This grants a favor with church of Heironeous that can be used for spellcasting services. Those characters who belong to meta-organisation X also gain access to prestige class Y and feat Z."

Your Triad might have a metagaming book which shows what MOs & Feats are going to be offered and through which meta-organisations. For example, our region is going to offer access to Shadowbane Stalker/Inquisitor through a Pro-Ahlissan religious organisation but that of course requires that one plays a regional module where they are featured and gains this favor.

07-30-06, 01:46 AM Certain Core mods might also offer access to the class(es) as a reward for certain things accomplished, without requiring entry into a meta-org of any kind. That's how I got access to the two Nightsong classes...
