I have looked around the LGCS and can't find a definitive rule on sharing gold in LG. What is the rule on giving another player in your party money so they can purchase an item? If it is allowed, what is the process for recording it on the AR? It seems like an important distinction, but I can't seem to find the specific rule in the sourcebook.

Its explicately not allowed. You cannot give gold or items to other players. You can lend it to them for the duration of one mod however. One of my characters regularly find the equipment he owns does more good in the hands of someone else and lends thousands of dollars of equipment to other PCs.

Yes, no mules in LG, or departing gifts (I shudder at what could be done by lvl 20 characters about to hit the limit by passing things down they won't need anymore).

Whiel giving money or equipment away is forbidden, you are allowed to chip in for spell costs that occur in game. Most notable, of course, would be spells such as Raise Dead or Ressurection.
