Who here thinks they know the answer? I heard that there have been rulings about this in Living Greyhawk campaigns in the not too distant past. Anyone know about those rulings? |
| Jedi_Alec_Swann06-24-04, 10:37 PM | anytime you are grappled you lose you dex bonus to your AC and anytime you lose your dex bonus so can be sneak attacked. |
| carusoscrux06-25-04, 10:10 AM | Even if you are grappled by a spell you lose your Dex bonus to AC? So then that means that while the spell is grappling you, other rogues in the room can perform sneak attacks on you? |
| Steve_MND06-25-04, 01:50 PM | Yeah; you're not being grappled 'by a spell,' you're being grappled by a bunch of physical, tangible tentacles called up by a spell. If the tentacles use the same rules as other things for grappling, then yeah, you lose your Dex bonus towards attackers outside the grapple, just like with any other grapple. |
| StevieS06-26-04, 08:01 AM | and wrt Evards, a fantastic spell I recommend to all spell-slingers, those rogues need to avoid being grappled too. Those things are mindless and will grab anything. |
| carusoscrux06-28-04, 01:33 PM | Yeah, I suppose rogues can avoid being grappled by making ranged sneak attacks on their opponents who are being grappled by E's black tentacles. |

Yes, but firing into that grapple means a 50% chance of not hitting your intended victim. Nick. |
