Has anyone ever stumpled upon a campaign card, AR reward or meta-organisation which gives access to "Drunken master"? Thanks... |

Has anyone ever stumpled upon a campaign card, AR reward or meta-organisation which gives access to "Drunken master"? Thanks... I've never seen it on an AR. The "creation" campaign cards aren't used by the Living Greyhawk campaign. I know a few regions have allowed access to the class and I believe that was throuigh meta-orgs. Of course, most of the regions are in the process of revising their meta-orgs, so it's hard to tell what access will be offered in the future. Ed |
| ShinAkuma211-16-05, 12:36 PM | There are occasionally AR rewards that can be used in place of any special prerequisite. It's too bad none of my characters are going for anything that requires one. >_> |
| Amurayi11-16-05, 01:05 PM | Really? What current adventure offers something like this? You mean like the reward is that it substitutes for ALL prerequisites of a PrC? |

If you mean prequisites like BAB, skills, then no, the reward does not substitute them but if PrC has prequisite such as for Drunken Master's "Survive a night of revelry", then AR can just say something like 'Spend 1TU getting wasted after any Regional module, doing this grants access to Drunken Master prestige class". | kenobi6511-16-05, 02:03 PM | Really? What current adventure offers something like this? Just FYI, sharing information on current adventures, including what's in the AR, is frowned upon. However, this does illustrate one of the issues with "limited" access Prestige Classes. If you can get access from your regional metaorganization, great, but if you're limited to trying to find access via an AR, you may well be in a snipe hunt, because there's no telling if you'll ever play the right module (or even if it's even in a module). |
| Swiss Mercenary11-18-05, 05:08 AM | You can also request a special mission from your Triad to fulfil the requirements. Remember that you can have this written by someone else as long as the Triad agrees to it and sees the final copy. I know of at least two Drunken Masters out there, indeed I even DMed one in an adventure that I had written for our Meta-Region (The Splintered Suns). As a matter of fact, after the role-playing session they went through (homeplay so it went on slightly longer than 5 hours), I said that all the group had fulfilled the requirements :pint: considering the drunken mess they ended up in, as I am Triad and it was in region (The Dullstrand / Switzerland) it would have stuck. I think many triads would be reluctant to write a Drunken Master's night into a scenario seeing as the campaign is supposed to be PG-13 and drunken revellry in a module might not go down well with some parents. |

And that's a big part of the reason that many triads list the class as unavailable in their region. And they aren't going to provide a special mission so you can become one. Ed |
